'In a statement released by the Walton County County Sheriff's Office, authorities initially responded to a residence at Inlet Beach in reference to the battery claim. The caller stated that Kromer and Kromer's son confronted three boys over the use of beach chairs at the beach. That's when the accuser said that Kromer grabbed their fishing pole and "threw the pole into the water and then pushed one of the boys to the ground and punched him in the face."'

'According to the Walton County Sheriff's Department, Kromer was charged with misdemeanor battery. He avoided a felony charge because the bodily harm was not great enough for a felony. Kromer was arrested at 1:39 a.m. and released at 3:10 a.m.'

'Kromer, an offensive line coach for the Buffalo Bills, received a misdemeanor battery charge for an incident in Inlet Beach. Additional charges might be filed Monday after the sheriff's office executive staff reviews the case.'

'Kromer, now the offensive line coach for the Bills, could face stern discipline from the league. The NFL's personal conduct policy was updated and amended in December with an intent to take a stronger stance against employees who are involved in incidents of violence.'

'How the Bills, and the NFL, deal with allegations against Kromer will be telling.'

'He was mired in controversy last year when he admitted he was the anonymous source behind an NFL Network report criticizing the team’s franchise quarterback Jay Cutler. The report indicated the team had a case of “buyer’s remorse” regarding the quarterback and that he “absolutely killed” the team’s offense.'

'The 48-year-old Kromer, a Rex Ryan hire after the Bears gave him the ax, confronted three boys who were fishing on a beach in Walton County, Fla., over a hazy disagreement about the use of beach chairs, according to police.'

'When they arrived deputies spoke to the caller and learned three boys had been fishing on the beach when the suspect, later identified as Buffalo Bills Offensive Line Coach Aaron Kromer, and the suspect's son confronted them over the use of beach chairs left by a beach access.'

'In a written statement, the Bills said, "We are aware of the report and in the process of gathering the facts."'

'The Walton County Sheriff's Office said Sunday it received a call in reference to a battery at Inlet Beach on Saturday night. Deputies who responded were told that three boys had been fishing on the beach when they were confronted by Kromer and his son over the use of beach chairs left near a beach access.'

'Kromer had a "physical altercation" with his neighbor's son, according to the Walton County (Fla.) Jail. Kromer was booked at 1:51 a.m. ET Sunday and released at 3:10 a.m. on the misdemeanor battery charge with intent to cause bodily harm.'

'It was stated Kromer then told the boys to return the chairs to where they found them. The victim stated Kromer also told him if he reported him to the police he would kill his family.'

'If all this happens, the Florida legal expert expects Kromer to plead not guilty, because that will give Kromer and his lawyer time to review the evidence against him, develop a defense, negotiate a plea bargain, etc..'

'“You’ve got to be physical now,” he said. “You’ve got to put that on film where you’ve got some heads snapping back. You can’t show that you’re just taking on blocks. You’ve got to show a physical presence so your opponents know they’re in for a fight.”'
