'At 6-feet-6-inches tall and 255 pounds, Buchanan has the build to play strong-side linebacker in Ryan's defensive scheme. Currently, the Bills have Manny Lawson and Randell Johnson as the two best fits at that spot, but Buchanan would add some competition and depth.'

'Tuel's two-year tenure is over in Buffalo. He made the Bills as an undrafted rookie in 2013, and struggled in two appearances, including a start in a 23-13 loss to Kansas City. Tuel spent last season on the practice squad.'

'Simms, 26, went undrafted out of Tennessee but spent the last three years with the Jets, appearing in four games over the past two seasons with 18 completed passes in 39 attempts, including one touchdown.'

'Simms, who was released by the New York Jets on Thursday, now joins a Bills team with the same head coach Simms had played under over the last three years in New York. Buffalo head coach Rex Ryan is very familiar with Simms’ abilities and even made use of the third-string signal caller in four regular season games while coaching in New York.'
