'That all said, I'm in the camp that feels it wasn't worth giving up so much for Watkins. That even after a flurry of encouraging off-season moves, the overall state of the Bills would be better with those first- and fourth-round picks to play with this weekend had Whaley not gotten so aggressive.'

'“I'm going charge everybody in this room: If you're going to see somebody sick or somebody struggling, go there to make their day better by what you say to them, how you act, the smile on your face,” Kelly said. “They might not be feeling good, but you can make that better, give them one more day where they're smiling.”'

'Over the past three years, outside of first-rounders, there have been twelve trades involving future draft picks. Of those twelve, four of them (three involving the Browns) saw a team deal their pick in the current draft straight-up for one the following season. And in every single instance, that team got back a pick one round higher as a reward for their patience…'

'Now, I'm not saying they should draft a quarterback for the sake of doing it in round two or three. But, if the Bills have a second round grade on a QB then grab him at 50. If the grade is lower than that spot on the board, trade down to acquire another pick this year or next year and then take the quarterback. Same story in round three at pick 81 in the event the next best quarterback after Jameis Winston and Marcus Mariotta on the Bills board has a third round grade.'
