'Revis, who became a free agent when the Patriots decided not to pick up his $20 million option, played four of the first six seasons of his career under now Bills coach Rex Ryan in New York. When healthy, Revis has been arguably the best cornerback in football since he entered the league back in 2007.'

'Smith has just 20 receptions in his four-year career and is known primarily for his blocking skills. He received a 1.9 grade from Pro Football Focus for his run blocking in 2014. The Bills have plenty of blocking tight ends on their roster, though, and keeping Smith at that price tag wasn't an option given their cap situation.'

'Felton, who is a former fifth-round pick of the Lions, has played eight NFL seasons in his career, the last three years of which has been spent in Minnesota. He's best known for being Adrian Peterson's lead blocker during his 2,000-yard season. Felton finished each of the last three seasons as a top-six run-blocking fullback on Pro Football Focus.'

'At the NFL Scouting Combine, Bills general manager Doug Whaley mentioned that free agent safety Da'Norris Searcy would be tough to keep in Buffalo. Given the price he reportedly commanded on the open market, it's easy to see why. Searcy is getting more than $10 million guaranteed on a four-year, $24 million contract with the Tennessee Titans, according to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network. Searcy earned himself a raise with a breakout season in 2014.'

'"That's the nature of the game," Taylor told The Baltimore Sun at the end of last season. "I knew that coming into this situation. When I got drafted here, Joe was pretty durable. My job was to stay ready and I think I've done that in my time here. I've learned a lot."'

'Cassel, 32, started the Vikings' first three games last season before breaking several bones in his left foot against the New Orleans Saints on Sept. 21. He was placed on injured reserve three days later.'

'According to multiple media reports, the Bills sent the Vikings their fifth-round pick in this year's draft in exchange for Minnesota's sixth-round pick. The Vikings will also receive a seventh-round pick in 2016.'

Cassel has one year left on his current contract, and is scheduled to have a cap hit of $4.75 million in 2015.'

'Harvin was released by the Jets on Tuesday afternoon, following the official acquisition of wide receiver Brandon Marshall. In 2014, the Seattle Seahawks traded Harvin to the Jets for a conditional draft pick. Between the two franchises, Harvin caught 51 passes for 483 yards and one touchdown. He also rushed for 202 yards between the two clubs and another touchdown.'

'As announced by his agent on Tuesday night, Revis has elected to sign with the New York Jets — the original team that drafted him in the first round out of Pittsburgh. The cornerback, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter, will get more than $40 million guaranteed in his deal with the Jets.'

'The signing is the second significant addition to focusing on a run-centric approach on offense for the Bills, after the team traded for running back LeSean McCoy and signed him to a five-year, $40 million extension with $26.5 million guaranteed. Felton graded out on ProFootballFocus.com as the sixth-best blocking fullback in the league in 2014.'
