‘”Very different,” Hughes said. “Just by the formations he’s using now. You can tell he’s different because you have to kind of adapt and adjust your game as the years go on, and for him to be in the league so long you can tell he’s adjusting because he just went back to a Super Bowl not too long ago. You know he’s always adding little pieces to his game to kind of just keep him going.”‘

‘”There’s no use at looking ahead and worrying about what the challenges are in the future,” coach Doug Marrone said. “You’ve got to accept the challenges of today.”‘

‘Asked by Denver-area reporters on a conference call Wednesday how his time with the Broncos ended, Orton said, “still have got some good friends back there. Pretty much it.”‘

‘Williams came to the Bills in a trade from Tampa Bay in the offseason after scoring 25 touchdowns in four seasons with the Buccaneers. The Buffalo native was supposed to upgrade the Bills’ passing game in the red zone, but he has rarely been given a chance. He has just eight catches for 142 yards, and his only touchdown came on an 80-yard bomb.’

‘”I’m trying to make sure that I know what it is, so this way I can use it all the time,” coach Doug Marrone said when asked what has spurred Williams on the last few games when he clearly has looked tremendous and motivated. “If we can keep him going the way he is right now in these last two games, he’s been dominant. When he plays like that, people are going to start saying, ‘What are we going to do?’ And we’ve got a lot of good guys playing around him too.”‘

‘”I still talk to the coaches,” Williams said. “I’m still the same old Mike. I’m the same person. I’m still the person that nobody can check. We’ll see, though. We’ve gotta get on the field to prove it. … I’m still that can score in the red zone anytime I want. I’m still the same Mike. It’s just other people gotta see it, and if they don’t see it then, I mean, somebody will.”‘

‘”We’ve been underdogs to teams who have been 2-8, so we’re kind of used to it,” Bills defensive end Jerry Hughes said. “We don’t put too much into effect about what other people outside of this building are going to grade us or anything like that. We just come to work and we work hard, and I think that’s showing off on the field on Sundays. I think for us, it’s continue just to come to work and keep working hard.”‘

‘Despite those two key contributors returning, the Bills still have a long list of injuries heading into their Week 14 game against the Denver Broncos. Right now, Marquise Goodwin is the only wide receiver who isn’t listed on the injury report after Mike Williams suffered a calf injury during the second-to-last period of practice Thursday.’
