‘Buffalo native Corey Graham, the free agent cornerback signed from Baltimore, admitted, “It was unreal today … the crowd gave us so much energy. We felt them the whole game. They energized us. We were able to play for them and play with them, it was just amazing.”‘

‘The Bills’ defense was the story of the first half. The unit had three sacks and didn’t allow the Dolphins to cross the 50-yard line.’

‘”We had a lot planned to make sure that Cameron Wake, who we have all the respect in the world for, would not be able to take over that game,” Marrone said after the Buffalo Bills’ 29-10 win over the Dolphins. “We had chips and things like that to help Seantrel get off to a good start, yes. Did he play well, too? Yes, he did, but I don’t want to make it look like we didn’t have anything planned for him.”‘

‘”It happened that a lot of calls and progressions had him getting the ball and coming open,” quarterback EJ Manuel said. “He did a great job running the route and getting open. ‘After targeting him only three times last week, Manuel threw Sammy Watkins’ way more than any other receiver on Sunday. In the first half alone, Watkins had eight targets on 19 total passes from Manuel. The rookie appeared to be fighting through some pain all afternoon, but he gutted it out on his way to his first career 100-yard game. Watkins also got his first career touchdown on Sunday. He finished the game with eight catches for 117 yards and a touchdown.’

‘The defensive game plan was outstanding, and the Dolphins didn’t even bother trying to score in the final two minutes of the first half. The score could’ve been even more lopsided if the offense hadn’t struggled in the red zone. Overall, the Bills dominated the game and are now alone atop the AFC East at 2-0.’
