‘Dareus was stopped by an Alabama State Trooper at 8:30 p.m. for speeding on Interstate 20 at Exit 210 in Cleburne County. According to a release by the Alabama Department of Public Safety, “After investigating further, the trooper arrested the driver, Marcell Dareus, for felony possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Dareus was placed in the Cleburne County Jail.”‘

‘”It’s a quarterback-driven league, so we’re going to give every avenue and every piece of the puzzle to surround EJ and make him as successful as possible,” general manager Doug Whaley said. “What we did this offseason affords us the opportunity to go any way and every way in the draft. But our main focus is making sure EJ progresses.”‘

‘A jailer in Cleburne County in Heflin who would not give her name says Dareus was arrested Monday night by a state trooper and was released from the jail within an hour.’

‘The firm, which has designed numerous sports facilities around the globe, has until July 11 to produce a feasibility study, which will eventually be distributed to prospective ownership groups.’

‘Although he was named to the Pro Bowl for the first time, Dareus was also benched by the Bills for the first half against the New England Patriots in December for a violation of team rules.’

‘According to the Cleburne County Sheriff’s Office, Dareus was arrested last night by an Alabama State Trooper. He was taken into the jail, and was subsequently released less than an hour later. This is a developing story, and we will have more details as they become available.’
