‘Williams had two sacks and forced a fumble, and Jairus Byrd had two interceptions as the Bills turned four turnovers by Smith into 17 points in a 37-14 win Sunday.’

‘”First play of the game, I knew we had him,” Dareus said. “From then on, he looked crazy, looked scattered.”‘

‘”We’ve tried everything,” Ryan said of bye week planning. “There’s some coaches that give them the entire time off. We were kind of in between this one. Our team was fresh. We thought we were prepared. We just didn’t execute. Simple as that.”‘

‘According to a Rural Metro ambulance service report, the man who was hit by the falling man sustained a head injury. The man who fell sustained a shoulder injury, which was not considered life-threatening.’

‘The Bills will be without top wide receivers Stevie Johnson (groin) and Robert Woods (ankle), as previously announced by coach Doug Marrone.’

‘Jairus Byrd came away with two of the picks and Da’Norris Searcy returned one 32 yards for a touchdown. Smith, who was benched in the fourth quarter, was also sacked four times and lost a fumble deep in his own territory that set up another Buffalo touchdown.’

‘”For EJ to play that well without a running game and our top receivers at his disposal on a day when it wasn’t necessarily conducive for passing because of the wind, that’s impressive,” said Bills center Eric Wood. “He really made a statement today.”‘

‘C.J. Spiller is in a huge funk. Three weeks ago, the Bills electric running back gained 116 yards on 12 carries against Kansas City’s stout defense. Since then, he has 29 yards on 23 carries. This from a guy who averaged six yards a carry last season.’

‘The Bills will head into their bye week at 4-7, and their next game is December 1st as they host the Atlanta Falcons.’

‘That’s enough to keep me happy until the game in Toronto on December 1st. We can now enjoy the bye week and to all of you, a very Happy Thanksgiving.’

‘Just as it was a challenge for head coach Doug Marrone to build his team back up from the Steelers loss, it will be his duty to keep the Bills from resting on their laurels of their most lopsided victory of the season and not get complacent against Atlanta (2-8) in Week 13.’

‘So depending on how you like to do it, you can have some fun with the standings here for a little while and decide for yourself just how “In The Hunt” the Bills really are. What I know is this. For a couple of weeks at least, I won’t have to worry nearly as much whether or not the Bills need to be “In The Hunt” for a quarterback next April.’

‘The Bills finally get their bye week, but after what happened today, I bet they wished they played next week. As we’re learning, there are some good young players on this team, but it also makes every week an adventure. The next one comes in two weeks when the Falcons come to Toronto for the fake home game which is really an extra road game.’
