I think we have a really good group up front and if we continue to get better, I don’t think we will miss a beat this year and we’ll be able to get back to where we were.”‘

‘Reed chose to spend training camp with the Chiefs instead of Buffalo, the team he helped reach four Super Bowls, though he’s certain that Bills fans would have loved to see his return. Reed wasn’t so sure if it would be a good fit for him, because the Bills – who face the Chiefs in November – have a new head coach in Doug Marrone.’

‘The topic of conversation is always going to center around Kevin Kolb and E.J. Manuel. In my mind Manuel has badly outplayed Kolb. Marrone disagrees, “We’re very happy with Kevin. He’s done a nice job, it’s the execution where he wants to go. He has to make better decisions. He needs to improvement from a standpoint, really from him, the protection, the receivers getting open, but as far as someone who has a really good background in the style of offense that we’ve done, as far as the tempo, so for him, really all three quarterbacks have handled that well, which is different.”‘

‘Manuel will be the choice) for Buffalo. But Manuel looked comfortable, confident, strong-armed and accurate Monday. The Bills invested a first-round pick in him, and it would be surprising if Kolb can hold him off for very long-if he holds him off at all.’

‘There could be nine new starters when the season opens at home against the Patriots. The Bills have started fast in years past and faded down the stretch, partially because of roster depth and quarterback play. This team may get better as the season continues and young players grow. The buzz around the Bills will be about the 2014 season as this team goes 7-9 this year.’
