‘This game will be a tight one all the way through. The defense for each team may win a series at times, but the offense of both squads should be the key to victory. At that point, to me, it comes down to who has the more effective playmaker on offense. Will it be Andrew Luck and Reggie Wayne for the Colts, or C.J. Spiller and Fred Jackson for the Bills? I’ve gone back and forth on who will win this game more times than you’ll know. In the end, however, the determining factor is C.J. Spiller getting the ball the majority of times and the amount of room he’ll be able to roam around in against a very beatable Colts defense.’

‘”People are focusing more on him than they have in the past. He gets doubled a lot more than he ever has before,” Bills coach Chan Gailey said. “I think that’s probably the No. 1 thing that you look at. We’re still trying to do the same things we did last year with him but we’re not getting some of the same results at times.”‘

‘”He played the best he’s played since he’s been here in the ball game [last week],” Gailey said. “Hopefully he can build on that and the more he plays, the more it helps our football team. So it’s good to have another guy that can go in there. Probably his confidence level has taken a notch up a little bit. I’m looking forward to seeing what happens with him as the next few weeks unfold.”‘

‘”It’s funny, pass rush used to be my issue,” the fourth-year player said. “I hadn’t had a sack in three years coming into this season. ‘”Ryan’s a streaky player,” Arians said. “Fitzpatrick, I mean he can really get on a roll. They’ve got speed. They can spread you out, much like New England. They get it out quick. They’re hard to sack.”‘

‘Through the first five games of the season, as the Bills went 2-3, the defense gave up an average of 36 points a game. It has dropped over the last five games to 23 points a game although the Bills have the same record, 2-3, to show for their work.’

‘It’s all good news on starting defensive tackle Kyle Williams (ankle). He’s progressed similarly to previous weeks, allowing Gailey to declare one of the Bills’ best defenisve players as probable for the contest.’

‘While the Colts quarterback remains pretty consistent when under duress in terms of delivering the football and making plays, he likes to escape from the pocket and make plays on the move in the passing game. Mario Williams and the other ends need to hem Luck in and shut down the escape routes much like the Patriots did last week. It led to passes sailing on Luck, which resulted in interceptions.’

‘Wayne, 34, has 76 catches for 1,003 yards through 10 games. At this rate he would finish with 121 catches for 1,604 yards.’
