‘”They’ve obviously had our number,” Buffalo quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick said. “We’re kind of down right now. We don’t think we’re out. I think there’s still a positive vibe in the locker room. I think you have to have that, otherwise you’re beat before you go play.”‘

‘Knox was a savior of sorts when he coached the Bills to their first win over Miami in 11 years and won the division. He did a weekly TV segment with News10NBC and actually made predictions. Can you imagine an NFL coach doing that today?’

‘”It just feels a little weak,” said Johnson of his thigh. “Of course it’s not going to be normal because I got banged on it, but it’s all good. It definitely went better than I thought considering the pain I was in just yesterday, but working with the training staff I got it right.”‘

‘”Kelsay got hurt in practice and could not finish,” said head coach Chan Gailey following pracitce Thursday. “They’re doing more tests and we’ll know more tomorrow.”‘

‘”It has been a tough road (to the NFL), but I’m on the 53-man roster, and I’m happy. The coaches told me that if I cleared waivers after 24 hours they were going to bring me back to the practice squad. I was a bit nervous because the Bills gave me a good deal and I didn’t want to go anywhere else. I was glad when the wait was over and I was brought back to the practice squad. You never want to see anyone get hurt, but I’m glad to be on the active roster. I feel like I will get my chance as I continue to improve.”‘

‘”I talked to the team this morning about the same old term that we always use, ‘finish,'” said Gailey. “We had them in two ball games in a position to finish the game and win the game and we haven’t done it. We’ve just got to go learn to finish out the last three quarters, or finish out the last quarter and a half. We’ve got to learn to finish against this football team and it’s not easy. They’re good for a reason.”‘

‘The Bills have never won in Gillette Stadium and Bill Belichick has two weeks to prepare as the Patriots are coming off the bye. That is not a combination to pull off the major upset: Patriots 34, Bills 20.’

‘”I think there’s accountability from young to old … old to young,” he said. “We don’t pull a lot of punches. We have to hold each other accountable to what our standard is … but, more importantly, you have to have a standard yourself."’
