Hilton’s big day leads Colts past Bills 20-13

‘Buffalo (4-7) finally ended its red-zone drought with 11:30 left in the game with a 1-yard TD pass from Ryan Fitzpatrick to Lee Smith to make it 20-13. But the Bills got no closer.’

Bills RB Fred Jackson active but won’t start

‘Buffalo deactivated defensive end Mark Anderson, cornerback Crezdon Butler, receiver Marcus Easley, quarterback Tarvaris Jackson, linebacker Kirk Morrison, offensive tackle Thomas Welch and cornerback Aaron Williams.’

Indianapolis 20, Buffalo 13

‘The Colts (7-4) rebounded nicely from last week’s humbling loss to the high-powered New England Patriots. The 59-24 dismantling halted their four- game winning streak, but just as they have done all season, the Colts quickly got back on track.’

Postgame analysis: Colts 20, Bills 13

‘ere was no real turning point or moment that swung momentum in the Colts’ favor. Hilton’s punt return provided a spark, but Indianapolis was never able to get much separation. By the same token, though, the Bills never got too close, save for a late drive to tie the game. That one, however, stalled around midfield.’

Sideline Reactions: Colts 20 – Bills 13

‘Buffalo Bills wide receiver Stevie Johnson is a very emotional player, perhaps more so than any of his teammates. He wears them on his sleeve and lets his feelings be heard, regardless if it’s the right or wrong thing to do. Which is why, when Stevie Johnson essentially called out head coach Chan Gailey after the game, it really speaks volumes as to where players’ heads may be at in terms of their trust in the man calling the shots.’

Bills Make Me Want To Shout(obscenities)

‘They don’t have a good enough Head Coach. They don’t have a good enough quarterback, and they don’t have a complete defense.’

Another Bills season without the playoffs

‘It wasn’t supposed to be this way. Gailey and Nix both have said since the draft that this is the season where the improvement must happen. This is the season where losing can no longer be tolerated. They are absolutely right and these two men decided they could get to the promise land with Ryan Fitzpatrick as their quarterback and were so sure, had no plan B. Both seem to be out of answers, it’s time to find out if a young, well thought of assistant GM named Doug Whaley has some answers that actually work.’

Holiday Season And Bills Are Cooked

‘Seriously, what do you want here? Complaints about too few carries for Spiller? Passing up 50 yard field goals? Missed wide open receivers that would’ve scored touchdowns?’

Where the Bills Fell Short

‘The undisputed top reason was the offense and that points directly to head coach Chan Gailey.’

Former Bills & fans tackle Alzheimer’s

‘Former Buffalo Bill from 1979-84, Jeff Nixon attended the event and said, “We just want to raise money for information and research because I think in the next 10 years, we are going to go through major strides in either curing it or finding some type of therapies that can really help the people that have the disease.”‘

Down and Out in Indy

‘Good teams make plays. Good teams find a way to win on the road. Good teams don’t have to play out the final five games knowing that the playoffs are an unlikely destination for a 13th straight year.’

Bills kiss playoff chance goodbye

‘I know I sound like a broken record, but C.J. Spiller touched the ball just 15 times. He produced 107 yards rushing, including a 41-yard burst. His last carry was with 13:33 left in the game. The guy is the most electrifying, dynamic, explosive – pick your adjective – player on the Bills. Why aren’t you feeding him the ball 20-25 times a game? Why isn’t he the focal point of your offense when the game and your season are on the line?’

Immediate Reactions: Indianapolis Colts 20, Buffalo Bills 13

‘Running the ball or getting CJ Spiller more touches gets you an extra score. Gailey seems to think that ol’ timey “Fred’s done us a lot of good, so Fred’s gonna get him some carries.” He’s an awful playcaller. In the past I’ve argued more for getting rid of Nix, but at least he’s hitting on his first round picks. He’s gone from old school conservative coach without enough talent to simply appearing as if the game has passed him by. Run another screen, TCG.’

Bills Playoff Hopes Dashed In Indy 20-13

‘The Bills had a 4th and 14 and the Colts 34 after Fitzpatrick was sacked. Instead of trying a 52 yard field goal to get the score to 7-6 Colts they decided to punt. The net 22 yard gain on the fair catch gave the Colts the ball at the Bills 12. It drained the Bills who has some momentum after a Justin Rogers interception. Gailey showed faith in his defense that promptly allowed an 81 yard drive to a field goal.’
