‘Here’s the reality: The Bills gave out the biggest contract in the history of the league for a defensive player because that’s what it would take to convince anyone of Williams’ status to come here. The money was always going to be disproportionate to the player. The reality is Williams is a good pass rusher coming off a season-ending injury and adjusting to a new defense.’

‘Silva rejoins the Bills after spending part of last season on the team’s practice squad. He was signed by Dallas on Dec. 13 and remained with the Cowboys before being cut last week. Jackson was selected 210th overall by Atlanta in the 2011 draft and spent part of last season on the Falcons practice squad.’

‘Buffalo signed DB Mana Silva and G/OT Andrew Jackson to the practice squad.’

‘This beating felt a bit different, however, since the Bills were on their way to rolling through the Patriots before the roof caved in. Leading 21-7, the crowd was as loud as ever and the Patriots were reeling. Except, the Patriots were not reeling at all. In fact, they were just getting warmed up.’
