‘Just another one of those games that Bills fans have to deal with. An excurciating loss that we have to live with for two weeks. It also shows that this team is not ready for a playoff run for the 13th straight year.’

‘In a matchup with a pair of offenses that have had their share of struggles this season, the Bills and Titans had no problem putting up yards and points. Both teams went almost blow for blow on the scoreboard.’

‘I did not think we would give up as many yards as we have given up. No. I did not foresee that. We just have to find out exactly what the problems are and we are not solving them right now. If we do not, we are in for a long year. We have to solve them.’

‘I just got greedy in a situation that I did not have any business being greedy in. It was a dumb throw, dumb decision by me. Third down at the end of the game, game on the line, Chan (Gailey) put the ball in my hands essentially and I threw an interception. So that one hurts.’

And that is what it equated to. We have to clean those mistakes up. Against a back like that you cannot make any mistakes. If you give him any ground he is going to take off running. So we have to clean that up.’

‘It goes both ways you know. So many for us and them and they just ended up winning at the end. It was a close game throughout, they came out scoring, we came out scoring, and both teams could’ve put up big points and stopped the other offense. We were both fighting and they ended up making the plays at the end and we didn’t so that was the cause of our loss.’

‘Buffalo is 31st in total defense, last against the run, second-last in points allowed, 21st in total offense, 29th in passing yards per game.’

‘For example, Johnson claims that he drove straight through from Rochester to San Francisco in 42 hours two weeks ago for the Bills’ game against the 49ers. Then, joined by some other Bills followers, he made the trek to Phoenix and telecommuted to work. After last Sunday’s win over the Cardinals in Glendale, Ariz., he dropped his wife off at the Phoenix airport, and headed to Albuquerque, N.M., for a 5-hour nap before driving 28 hours back to Rochester.’

‘If ever there’s a year when the Bills have a chance to end their 12-year playoff drought, this would appear to be it. However, winning a game such as this one against the Titans is a must if they hope to achieve that elusive goal.’

‘”Yes he has not had as many yards and the statistics are down,” Gailey added. “But I am telling you, defensive coaches hold their breath every time he touches (the ball).”‘

‘Home game aside, the Bills grade out very favorably against the Titans. Their offense just isn’t quite as explosive with Matt Hasselbeck at quarterback, and their weaknesses on that side of the ball play right in to the perceived strengths of the Buffalo Bills defense. This game will ultimately be decided by how the defensive tackles perform against a weaker interior offensive line in combination with Fred Jackson and C.J. Spiller being able to establish themselves like they did against Arizona. It could be the week for Ryan Fitzpatrick to have a solid game at least. However, if he isn’t going early it should be the Jackson and Spiller show from that point forward.’

‘”David (Nelson) and Donald are very different players,” Fitzpatrick said. “They bring different things to the table. When you look at the type of player Donald is playing against the Patriots, he caught a quick slant in the slot and took it 68 yards for a touchdown. That’s everything that we see in Donald. He’s very physical, he’s explosive and he can run after the catch. We have to get him more opportunities in there. We have to get him the ball more in space because of the things that we think he can do.”‘
