‘For the Bills to pull off the big upset in San Francisco they needed to play a near perfect game. They weren’t even close to playing that type of a game. That had three chances at touchdowns in the first half that would have given them a lead with the 49ers playing flat early. The McKelvin punt return for a score that was brought back. The overthrow of Stevie Johnson and the pass behind Donald Jones all could have been scores. It probably wouldn’t have mattered anyway as the 49ers could have scored at will and did once they stopped shooting themselves in the foot. It was another pathetic display by a defense that looks eerily similiar to last year’s doormats. The Bills go out West and get blown out. Somethings never change… Same Old Bills.’

‘In giving up over 600 yards of offense the Bills, according to CBS, became the first team since the 1950 Yankees to give up more than 550 yards of offense in back-to-back games.’

‘”Obviously, there’s something I’m not doing correctly with this football team in the second half. Two games in a row after halftime, we’ve played extremely poor and that’s as nice as you can put it. Obviously, the turnover before the half really hurt and the turnover where we could’ve gone down and made it 24-10 really hurt. We’re not playing as physical as we should and we’re not doing the things we need to do.”‘

‘”You have to try to do the same thing next week. You know you have to give a lot of credit to the 49ers they are a tough team to beat and this is a tough place to play. They didn’t do anything that fooled us defensively I mean. They just line up you know what they’re gonna do and they just say you have to beat us and they did a better job than we did today. There was no fancy stuff out there it was they are who they are and they played better than us today.”‘

We have to get turnovers. I think we lost the turnover battle again this week and that hasn’t been good for us since day one. It is all on us. We have to focus on football.”‘

‘”After last week, I would have bet that this team would have come out and played a lot better than we played today. Now going on two weeks and giving up that many run yards and giving up the plays that we gave up, it’s disappointing and deflating, but I don’t lose hope and I’m going to keep striking and keep pushing forward because I know that we have the potential and the make-up that we have in this room.
