‘”For me I’m a very level guy, even in life, stuff doesn’t tend to get to me. I mean it eats in terms of throwing three interceptions and us losing the game and me really hurting our team, that stuff hurts me. I’m definitely losing sleep, waking up early at 5am and staring at the ceiling and just thinking, ‘What the heck just happened,’ but for me, you move on, shake it off. It’s the same with a great game, you gain some momentum from that stuff, but each week there’s a new challenge out there and there’s a new team. That’s part of the great thing about the NFL is you’re able to put it behind you and go to the next one.”‘

‘Fred’s going to be a few weeks. It’s not going to be as little as three, but I don’t think it’s going to be eight. I think it’s somewhere in between, hopefully sooner than later and the prognosis is decent.”‘

‘The Bills fancy new pass rush generated no heat. The embattled Jets quarterback, Mark Sanchez, had a fantastic day while the Bills got horrendous play at quarterback from Ryan Fitzpatrick. That’s really pretty much it.’

‘”It’s definitely hard. As a competitor who wants to be out there, it’s going to be hard for me.”, said Nelson. The wide receiver was on location in Williamsville following his radio show on Monday night. “I’ve never had to deal with something like this. There is nothing better then being out there with teammates, and going through the battle. It’s going to be difficult.”‘

‘Fred (Jackson) is going to be a few weeks. It is not going to be three but I do not think it is going to be eight. It is probably somewhere in there in between. Hopefully sooner than later and the prognosis is decent.’

‘”That’s a really tough loss for us,” said Ryan Fitzpatrick. “Something like that just kills me. I lose sleep over something like that. He’s such a great guy and worked so hard to get to where he is right now. He was primed to have a big year. Our chemistry was great. We were really on the same page with a lot of stuff we were doing. That’s something you never want to see.”‘

‘”It’s a huge blow,” said C.J. Spiller on the loss of Jackson. “Fred got voted as a captain and speaks to what guys think of him on this team. This just means I’ve got to do a great job of making sure that I’m ready to go until we get 22 back. But I have all the confidence in the world that we’ll get this thing rolling.”‘

‘Sunday’s loss has me shaken. I had thought the Bills would win 8 or 9 games, maybe 10 if everything went well. Of course this was based on assumptions that the defensive line would be something for which opponents would need to game plan and that Fitzpatrick would turn in a solid if unspectacular season. Sunday’s loss resoundingly showed both of my assumptions could be well off base, and if that’s the case I fear that the 2012 model Buffalo Bills will look much like previous models, but with a higher price tag.’
