‘While many players bring a host of creature comforts from home, Gilmore, who brought his own flat screen TV rather than rent one, said the only thing special he brought was a bible. “It keeps me close to God,” Gilmore told WGRZ-TV.’

‘The parking lot outside of Keough Hall was a steady stream of players arriving to training camp. Defensive tackle Kyle Williams and defense end Chris Kelsay came in together. Players bring all the comforts of home for their three week stay. Rookie TJ Graham brought his playbook in first. Players say this has been a positive off season and hope moves made in the off season will help the team end their playoff drought.’

‘Chan Gailey isn’t going to change the way he plays offense. He will spread them out, use players like CJ Spiller all over the field and try to get as many players involved as possible. But in order for this team to take the next step as an offense and not run into prolonged periods where they can’t move the ball, they need player or two to step up. It will be worth plenty of eye time at camp and the preseason to see who emerges as a Fitz favorite.’

‘”The one place I’m a little concerned is our depth at safety,” said Nix. “We’ve got three guys and we’d like to have four there that can play. Other than that I think we’re pretty deep.”‘

‘Obviously the offseason acquisitions helped, but I still think it was time for us. If we had not gotten Mario (Williams) and Mark (Anderson) it would have still been time to start winning some games. We’ve done some things right, I think, and we’ve probably made some mistakes along the way. But it’s time to close it out and win some games and until we do it is not complete.’

‘”We’ve come a long way,” said Gailey. “We don’t have any kind of record to show that and that’s our objective this year to show that. But I do believe we’ve come a long way as a football team, but you can’t talk about it, you’ve got to go prove it.”‘

‘Bills CEO Russ Brandon and St. John Fisher College President Dr. Donald Bain showed the media the new third grass field Monday. When the college built it’s new track and field complex last year, the Bills lost valuable practice space. The school tore down the tennis courts to make room for the new grass field to accommodate the team.’

‘That said, questions remain. Here are some of them I’d like to see answered during the next month at St. John Fisher College…’.

‘I think for all of us it is the time everyone has been waiting for to get here to St. John Fisher. The minicamps are over, the OTAs are over and now the season is upon us. We are all excited. It is time to put the paper to the field. And we encourage our fans to come out to Fisher. As everybody knows, the night practices are widely popular. People also need to know our afternoon practices are great access. It is very under the helmet. It is very family oriented. It is a great opportunity for fans to come out and get close to their favorite players.’
