‘The Bills were originally scheduled to play a “home” game at Toronto this summer as part of their five-year series of playing games north of the border. But a scheduling conflict at Toronto’s downtown Rogers Centre led to organizers returning the game to Ralph Wilson Stadium.’

‘But he’s had issues staying healthy. Last year, he was placed on injured reserve with an ankle injury after just two games. During his breakout season in 2010 when he showed he could be a reliable slot receiver, a broken wrist ended his season after just eight games in which he had 33 catches for a career-best 400 yards and two TDs.’

Should a top receiver like Justin Blackmon or Michael Floyd happen to be available, it will be tough for them to pass up the chance to address the team’s other area of great need. But there’s no question general manager Buddy Nix and head coach Chan Gailey recognize the importance of grooming an anchor for the offensive line, which is why the Bills seem more likely to target one of two tackles — Stanford’s Jonathan Martin or Iowa’s Riley Reiff — if they stay put at No. 10.’

I told him we’re going to offer you an extension. We had priorities with guys that were unrestricted that we didn’t want to lose. I told him when we get through it we’ll at least do it before training camp. That way there’s no chance of him getting hurt. He’ll be healthy and he’ll have an extension before he goes to camp. We’ll be as straight as we can with him.”‘
