Bills safety Wilson won’t play against Jets

‘The Bills (5-5) will also be without receiver Naaman Roosevelt, who has a shoulder injury.’

Bills safety Wilson out vs. Jets

‘Wide receiver Naaman Roosevelt (shoulder) has also been ruled out versus the Jets (5-5).’

Buffalo (5-5) at N.Y. Jets (5-5)

‘Jets 28, Bills 14.’

Johnson Probable, Wilson Out for Bills

‘Both receivers Stevie Johnson and David Nelson, who missed Wednesday’s practice, are probable and likely to be in action against the Jets. With the season-ending injury to starter Donald Jones, those two will likely get the majority of offensive plays during Sunday’s game.’

Roosevelt, Wilson out for Sunday

‘Roosevelt suffered a shoulder injury last week at Miami and it did not recover in time to practice let alone play on Sunday. Wilson meanwhile has been dealing with a neck stinger that has taken some time to heal. The Jets game will be the second straight start that Wilson has missed.’

Motorola XOOM Scouting Report – Week 12

‘Buffalo’s passing attack has been out of sync the past three weeks. An effective run game could help take the pressure off of Ryan Fitzpatrick and allow him to rely on play action a bit more than he’s been able to the past few weeks. This task won’t be easy however, without Fred Jackson.’

Fitzpatrick’s recent play not paying off

‘"It’s hard to get caught up in that stuff because I think when you do that, and maybe at times I have, you end up getting out of your game," he said. "Then the turnovers come and different things happen when you try and do too much. That’s the trap a lot of people fall into, especially when you fall behind. That’s something where we have to stay the course, we’ve got to stick to the game plan and our reads and have the plan we have going in and just stick with it. That’s something we need to do a better job of."’

Buffalo lineup shouldering injuries

‘Strong safety George Wilson (neck) did not practice while wide receiver Stevie Johnson (shoulder) was limited on Thursday in preparation for Sunday’s game against the New York Jets.’

Some Bills rookies beginning to emerge

‘With strong safety George Wilson sidelined, rookie fourth-round selection Da’Norris Searcy got the first start of his NFL career and he ended up leading the Bills with 11 tackles. Meanwhile, cornerback Leodis McKelvin, the oft-struggling 2008 first-round pick, was benched.’

Time to think 16-0 and wonder if Bills can win two more

Extreme Streetwear markets Bills’ Fitz, Freddie

‘Created by Extreme staffer Rob Dumuhosky, the T- and sweatshirts display caricature images of “Fitzmagic,” Number 14, throwing a ball and “Fast and Furious” Freddie Jackson, Number 22, running with ball in hand.’

Bills Vs. Jets Preview (WFAN-AM)

Two Bills WRs Practice in Full

‘Two of their three wide receivers that sat out of practice on Wednesday returned to the field taking full reps on Thursday. Likely starting wideouts Stevie Johnson (shoulder) and David Nelson (illness) both got back to work a few days ahead of the team’s next game. The pair will be sorely needed after both running back Fred Jackson and wide receiver Donald Jones were placed on season-ending Injured Reserve this week.’

Bills’ Conference Calls

‘The last three games have been really tough for us. I think just you never want to get used to losing and you’re doing everything you can when your guys are losing. For me, unfortunately in the NFL I’ve been in this situation a lot where things don’t always go the way you want them to go. We’ve got a lot of guys, especially young guys; they haven’t had to face that adversity. In high school you’re the best player on your team and you’re winning and in college it was a lot of the same thing. They’ve come from successful programs. To be able to deal with this adversity is a big thing. A lot of it is just staying positive and working on the practice field and seeing it on Sundays.’
