‘Gailey wasn’t as optimistic with offensive lineman Chris Hairston, who missed Sunday’s game against Washington because of an ankle injury. Hairston is questionable a day after Gailey expressed hope that Hairston would be ready to play.’

‘”He is a stud,” exclaimed center Eric Wood. “I mean, if you watch him in the run-game, he is dominating. Pass [protection], he’s been close to perfect.”‘

‘Ryan Fitzpatrick, Donald Jones, Andy Levitre and Johnny White are all probable to play. Fitzpatrick had been limited on Wednesday and Thursday, but was never thought to be a threat to miss the game by both he and the coaching staff. Levitre didn’t practice on Wednesday due to a shoulder injury, but was just saving himself up for the game on Sunday.’

‘Watching tape provided confirmation, though a quick glance at the statistics is testimony enough for the Buffalo Bills.’

‘”[The chest bruise] is something that I’m working through but I’ll be fine,” Fitzpatrick said. Linebacker Chris Kelsay (calf) was the only name added to the injury report and was limited in practice on Thursday.’

‘”I don’t think there will be any doubt where (Revis will be); just look for Stevie and you’ll find him,” Bills coach Chan Gailey said. “I’m pretty sure that’s how it will go in this ballgame. That’s what they’ve shown in games previous, whoever is deemed the No. 1 receiver, he goes and lines up and takes him all over the field.”‘

‘The Bills are only the eighth team in NFL history to start a season 4-0 at home after starting the previous season 0-4 at home.’

‘Wilson will host his first bowling event, which will include a silent auction of autographed Bills memorabilia and other raffle giveaways, with all proceeds will benefit The George Wilson S.A.F.E.T.Y Foundation.’

‘”I haven’t seen a reason to take it off, I guess,” Fitzpatrick said in a telephone interview this week. “It stands for something. It’s not like I’m trying to throw a message in anybody’s face. It’s just a personal thing between me and my wife. It’s important for me not to take it off.”‘

‘”They’re playing sound defense, but they’re also taking a lot of risks,” tight end Dustin Keller said. “That’s why they’re able to make a lot of these turnovers. If we protect the ball, there’s going to be some opportunities for some big plays.”‘

‘”Yes we can. Yes we can get to the playoffs, we can get to the Super Bowl,” Johnson said. “Whatever they say we can’t, we can.”‘

‘”It’s a deceiving offense,” defensive coordinator Mike Pettine said. “You kind of get lulled into that this is spread, three wides, four wides; that a lot of times, these teams don’t have the ability to run the football. It’s the exact opposite, and that’s our priority coming in. We have to be at our best up front and stop the run, because that sets up everything they do.”‘
