‘Eddins said he chose the Bills over free-agent offers from a couple of other teams because he saw some similarities to them from systems he played in at Ball State.’

‘”I think he’s going to help a lot. He’s as big and talented a guy as you’ll ever be around,” Williams said. “What he has that can’t be taught is how big and how well he moves.”‘

‘”I think consistency is the big thing. I talked about putting so much time into it right now, in the film room, on the practice field with the guys. Really getting ourselves to where we need to be, so every rep out here matters, every rep out here can translate to game day. So for me, being able to do all this during practice and then translate it to the game. In the game, not everything is going to go the way you want. You’re not always going to have the perfect protection, you’re not always going to have the perfect coverage versus your routes. You’ve got to be able to react. I’ve said it before, sometimes it’s an incompletion and sometimes it’s getting the ball out and not taking a sack. Just being consistent and the thing last year, part of it, was not being able to sustain drives at times. I feel like my play was inconsistent. That’s going to be a big thing this year. Big word for me to keep harping on is just being consistent and playing well over a long period of time.”‘

‘”I’m just extremely excited,” said the energized Batten. “It’s what I’ve been waiting for my whole life. Just trying to prepare as much as I can because you can never be too prepared. I want to feel comfortable coming out of that tunnel that I know exactly what I’m going to do.”‘

That’s what you try to do; upgrade your football team every opportunity you get. From last year to this year, we think we have taken the steps to get that done.”‘

‘”Guys know who can play,” Nelson said. “We’re very confident in the receiver group that we have, and we’re very confident in what we can do. Yeah, we’re young and, yeah, most of us were undrafted. But if you can play, you can play. We’re very confident, and the trade was a confidence-builder for us.”‘

‘”I feel like she’s still with me whenever I go home,”Dareus said. “I know she’s still here supporting me. She never complained. You have no time to complain. You do it. I’ma young successful kid from the projects, from the ‘hood, doing pretty well, and don’t take it for granted. Go out there and have fun. You have no reason to put your head down.”‘
