‘Corner, a former fourth-round pick of the Bills (2008), has appeared in 44 games for the Bills in his three-year career including 12 starts. Serving primarily as a slot corner, the Akron product has logged 18 pass breakups, an interception and forced fumble in his career with Buffalo.’

‘”This week is a big challenge for us,” he said. “It’s another team that was high up on the rushing charts. Good running back, solid offensive line and they run the same type of scheme, that zone scheme. We’ve got to get ready for it and pay attention to the details in our fits this week in practice.”‘

‘The Bills have sold 37,355 season tickets so far this year, a drop of almost 15 percent from last year’s figure of 43,925.’

‘Eating healthier didn’t equate to mixing in a few fruits and vegetables, it meant going vegan — for all of July. “I was on a strict vegan diet,” Scott said. “We mixed things up. I like the results I’ve seen.”‘

‘It is unclear about the specifics of Easley’s condition or whether it’s career threatening. Easley was added to the Bills’ injury report and listed as questionable last Friday with what coach Chan Gailey described as an illness. Easley left practice shortly after individual drills.’

‘”I thought we had something in Scott Chandler that creates something good for us in the passing game,” Gailey said after watching Chandler catch five passes for 63 yards and two touchdowns Sunday in the 41-7 annihilation of Kansas City. “I was really proud of him. He deserves it. He works hard.”‘

‘Coach Chan Gailey on Monday said he’d rather have Easley disclose the ailment. Easley left Friday’s practice early.’

‘Martin has caught 65 passes for 1,006 yards and seven touchdowns in 54 career games with the Packers, Rams and Seahawks.’

‘”Coming in with a new system, coaches let you know at the beginning of the season,” the rookie said. “It’s a long, grueling season that you never know when your name is going to get called, and when your name is called you’ve got to be ready to go. Second play, I mean, you had to go.”‘

‘Maybe it will be different if they ever beat New England or something, but most regular season wins produce a feeling amongst fans that to be summed up simply, sounds something like this, “ok, good job. How you going to do next week?”‘

‘Easley pulled himself out of practice last Friday and was seen pointing to his chest when talking to athletic trainers on the sideline. He did not make the trip to Kansas City for the Bills season opener last weekend.’
