‘”Make Mom Proud” is the tagline for the new marketing blitz that will be featured on the scoreboard and in the concourses, game-day programs, public-address announcements and banner advertising. The message also will be featured on former Bills players’ TV shows and in some radio spots.’

‘The most compelling competition is at running back. Fred Jackson was told by offensive coordinator Curtis Modkins that he’s starting Saturday ahead of C.J. Spiller, who started last week’s game at Denver. Gailey didn’t show his hand when asked who will start because he didn’t want season-opening opponent Kansas City to know but the usually easygoing Jackson let the Chiefs and just about everyone else know his displeasure about a possible backup role.’

‘Williams, 28, will receive $17 million in guaranteed money and a maximum of $39 million over the life of the contract, according to a source. He and his agent began contract discussions with the Bills two weeks ago.’
