‘That’s all fine and dandy if they did not want to make any of the available quarterbacks the franchise savior this time around and wait until they find their man, but it seems like the Bills are building towards 2012.’

‘"In the fifth round, he’s got redeeming qualities," Bills General Manager Buddy Nix said. "He’s got size. He’s got intelligence and he’s got left tackle ability. He’s got balance, he can pass protect. The guy’s got a lot of things going for him."’

‘”I’ve never backed down from anything,” Destin said, “and I won’t back down from this.”‘

‘We won’t know until they put the pads on. And, even then, not right away.’

‘If you’re keeping track, the Bills’ nine-player draft broke down to one running back, one quarterback, one wide receiver and two offensive tackles. On the other side of the ball were one nose tackle, a pure end and two end/linebacker types.’

‘Bell will join fellow rookie C.J. Spiller in Buffalo. The Bills made the Clemson standout the first running back chosen in the draft, picking him ninth overall. "We complement each other," Bell said. "He’s a fast, speedy back. I can go up the middle and get the tough three or four yards. We can go in and both make an impact."’

‘The school announced the signing late Saturday night following the conclusion of the three-day NFL draft. Johnson was a two-year starter, who finished with 107 career tackles and three interceptions, including one he returned for a touchdown.’

‘"I’m with a team that I can go out and prove myself with, and as long as I have a foot in the door, that’s all I wanted in the first place," Bell told The Detroit News on Saturday.’
