Cold practice brings out T.O.’s humor

‘”Well, I didn’t really do too much Week 1,” Owens said with a chuckle about his two-catch, 46-yard effort. “That was a game that we let slip away, and we obviously had that game until (under three minutes to play). We gave that game away due to some just boneheaded plays … not being smart in certain situations and I think we as a team know that. They’re going to be coming in here fired up, especially after last week. A couple of players were called out (by the Panthers). I’m sure they’re going to try to feed (wide receiver Randy Moss) the ball.”‘

Patriots Game Preview

‘Patriots 13, Bills 9.’

Bills claim OL Incognito

‘To make room for Incognito on the roster the Bills waived tight end Joe Klopfenstein. Incognito will wear jersey number 62.’

Bills eager to end Pats streak

‘”It’s the Patriots. They’ve beaten us 12 straight times now. We’re trying to get rid of that. We want to. I haven’t beaten them since I’ve been here,” Fred Jackson said. “I want to get that first win and know what it feels like to beat the Patriots.”‘

Buffalo Bills’ defense to face test with Wes Welker

‘"I think our guys have confidence in their ability to defend the pass and our plan of attack is try to limit them and shut their passing game down," said Fewell, who along with serving as interim head coach is also Buffalo’s defensive coordinator.’

Buffalo Bills might face local TV blackout Sunday vs. New England Patriots

‘The Buffalo Bills said Wednesday that there are approximately 2,000 tickets still unsold for Sunday’s game against the New England Patriots.’

Candidates abound for Bills’ personnel job

‘The Bills are expected to start interviewing candidates to become either the new general manager or the new director of football operations sometime after Christmas.’

Why keep Brohm in closet?

‘But at some point, it would be nice to see Brohm in an NFL game. Is it so hard to get a quarterback ready to run the Bills’ offense? We’re not talking about re-shaping President Obama’s health care plan here.’

Incognito claimed off waivers; Mitchell is no fan

‘"The guy’s a bum," Mitchell wrote. "Dirty and always will be. Really wish I was playin’ right now. Seriously. I know we’re in need of offensive line [help]. But this guy [stinks]."’

New-look Bills

‘”That seemed like it was many moons ago,” Fewell said. “Even though we played at the beginning of the season, it seems like so long ago.”‘

Harvard kid answers NFL call

‘”You can see him getting the team into good plays against looks they can take advantage of,” Belichick said.’

Bills quarterback learned his trade while playing for Silver Lake’s Murphy

‘”To be honest, going into my junior year that was my thought,” Fitzpatrick answered when asked if Wall Street had beckoned. “That’s kind of the path you take. You study economics, you go to Wall Street for a few years, and then you figure out your life after that.”‘

Belichick recalls the night T.O. put on a show

‘”Really, kind of all the indications that we had were that he wasn’t going to play,” Belichick said. “Not only did he play, but he played very well. I’d say we under game-planned for him in that particular game.”‘

Fitzpatrick takes NFL detour

‘”I didn’t think the NFL thing was a remote possibility up until after my junior year when agents started calling me,” the Bills starter said yesterday. “Then, it was something that I guess I figured I had a chance at.”‘

New coach Fewell has had positive impact on Bills

‘”I don’t know if I was nervous; I was excited more than being nervous,” Fewell said. “I’ve often wanted to be a head football coach, so I tried to prepare myself for the opportunity. The way the situation occurred was out of my control, but probably more excited than nervous.”‘
