‘Why take a guy who hasn’t played a snap and throw him on a hostile field against a blitzing Jets defense that terrorizes opposing QBs?’

‘”They’re just not focusing their offense with him; that’s where they’re messing up,” Sheppard said. “They’ve got to do a good job of designing plays for him. You’ve got to be creative and let him do what he does best – and that’s run after the catch. If you can’t be creative and learn how to get him the ball in open space, he’s not going to be effective for them.”‘

‘The Bills have sorely missed Posluszny in the middle of their defense. He broke his arm in the first half of the season-opening game at New England and without him, the Buffalo linebacking corps has been severely depleted. The Bills now rank 29th in the NFL in rushing yards allowed after being gouged for 222, 250 and 171 yards the last three weeks.’

‘”Whether it happens or not I don’t know,” Owens said. “I’m committed right here until it does happen. I’m not saying that it will, but I’m committed (to Buffalo).”‘
