‘You cannot argue that the Bills lacked effort. But we also learned that even in a win this Buffalo team looks disorganized. They make an immense amount of mistakes, and they don’t show any signs of being a winning team.’

‘”Our defense was terrific in every area except the run.”‘

‘The win ended Buffalo’s 8-game losing streak in the AFC East. Their last previous victory in the division was a 38-17 triumph over Miami in December 2007.’

‘”Turnovers are contagious,” said safety George Wilson, who had one of the interceptions. “Once they start coming, sometimes they don’t stop. Obviously, Jairus got the ball rolling for us. When he got his, everybody just started to feed off them.”‘

‘This win proves very little. Jauron is fortunate that they pulled it out, because he did a shoddy job of getting them into field goal range at the end of regulation, playing it conservatively and leaving Lindell a difficult 46-yarder into the wind.’

‘”I thought the whole line did a good job,” Bills offensive line coach Sean Kugler said. “They prepared all week and they work hard all the time. I knew that they were going to have some rough spots and some rough edges. But [Sunday] I thought they competed the entire game.”‘

Surprisingly, it was the Bills who wound up preventing what sure looked like a tie as Rian Lindell made a 47-yard field goal with 2:44 left in overtime to give Buffalo a 16-13 victory over the New York Jets.’
