‘The move saves the Bills $3 million in cash, which was to be Walker’s base salary. Walker still will count $4.5 million against the salary cap due to past bonus payments that he received.’

‘Chambers however, is not expected to replace Walker at left tackle. That job is expected to be filled by second-year offensive tackle Demetrius Bell. Bell is expected to make a full return to practice on Wednesday where it’s anticipated that he’ll begin lining up with the first unit at the left tackle position. Chambers is likely to re-assume the swing tackle role he’s held with the Bills for the past two seasons.’

‘In yet another stunning move, the Buffalo Bills today released their starting left tackle, Langston Walker. ‘

‘She pleaded guilty in state Supreme Court Tuesday to a reduced charge of third-degree grand larceny. The judge told her that because she made full restitution, he will spare her jail time unless she fails to show up for her Dec. 4 sentencing. Krauss now lives in Corona, Calif.’

‘Bonnie Krauss, a longtime Buffalo Bills administrative assistant, pleaded guilty today to grand larceny for using football team credit cards for personal purchases and turned over certified checks for the full $70,382 she was charged with embezzling.’

‘Undrafted rookie Ashlee Palmer was passed over by 32 NFL teams in the April draft, but the fast-moving linebacker had the last laugh making Buffalo’s roster as one of their top six linebackers. “I was at the hotel most of the day and they were calling some people over to the stadium to come meet them and that was one of the most nervous days of my life,” said Palmer.’

‘”Hopefully it says they’re trusting me, and they’re going to give me an opportunity to prove myself and show that I’ve worked hard in the offseason,” Omon said after Monday’s practice. “I’ve earned this opportunity and hopefully I’ll do something with it.”‘

‘They’re rolling the dice that Jackson will produce as he did in the final two games last season. Jackson had 113 yards from scrimmage in the win at Denver and carried 27 times for 136 yards against the Patriots in brutal conditions here last December in the season finale.’

‘”I’m in decent shape. I’m ready for what I’ve got to do,” Schobel said Monday. “After all these practices and all the time leading up to that first game, you forget that you were even hurt. But I’m glad to be healthy again.”‘

‘The 2009 standings say the Bills are 0-0, but it sure feels like about 0-6 right now.’

‘The addition of LB Maybin should help in this regard on throwing downs, but asking this undersized rookie to play every down is probably unwise at this point. DE Aaron Schobel’s health is the key here. Buffalo managed only a meager 14 sacks in the 11 games that Schobel missed last season.’
