‘”I’m looking forward to it a lot,” said Edwards. “I think we’re facing a good 3-4 team that has a new defensive coordinator (Dom Capers). I know that they have some great linebackers and some great interior linemen and a pretty solid secondary. I think three of them went to the Pro Bowl last year. So I’m eager to see what our offense can do against their defense.”‘

‘”This is a very big test because they can air the ball and they have a good running game, which is why they’re in the top 10 in the National Football League,” Bills safety Donte Whitner said. “We know that [their starters are] going to at least play a quarter, a quarter and a half, so we’re going to go out there and put our best foot forward. Even though it is the preseason, it is a test for us because you want to see what you can do against those top offenses.”‘

‘"It’ll be good for our communication," said Geoff Hangartner, who like the majority of the Bills’ starters is expected to play into the second quarter tonight, and maybe even through the entire first half. "It’s one of the loudest stadiums in the NFL and that noise will put a premium on communication."’

‘"I did carve my number (58) in there, but also in respect to Bruce Smith (78) being inducted into the Hall of Fame this year, I figured I’d show him some love in the haircut as well," Maybin said with a smile while addressing reporters.’

‘”It’s frustrating,” Harris said on the first day of camp. “You don’t get a lot of reps; you’re standing around. It’s a lot different than college. But you have to deal with it. I’m looking forward to being part of the team, and hopefully to contribute.”‘
