‘The resolution specifies that Niagara County supports keeping the team in Erie County and wants to work with Erie County in any effort to keep the team from moving. However, the resolution still says that if the Bills decide to move, the Niagara County Legislature favors placing them in Niagara County.’

‘Thomas started the first nine games of last season at middle linebacker for the Kansas City Chiefs. He was a backup the rest of the season. However, he’s probably better suited to an outside position than middle linebacker. Thomas, a 6-foot-1, 237-pounder, was a solid special teams player for the Chiefs.’

‘"It was, for me, a productive meeting," Lynch said. "I got a lot of insight out of it from Commissioner Goodell, and something that he stressed throughout that meeting was that he will not tolerate any more screw-ups by me, so I think that’s sinking in to me." The Bills can only hope.’

‘Apologizing for making a mistake and having poor judgment, Lynch came away from the meeting with Goodell believing he’ll be suspended. Lynch expects the decision to be made within 10 days.’

‘The Bills are reportedly again coping with the preposterous contract demands of a player who’s already under contract, and this looks to be as enjoyable a yearly ritual as a gum scaling performed on the same day as a colonoscopy.’

‘It’s likely that Lynch will have to wait at least a couple of days, and probably a couple of weeks, before hearing a verdict. That has been the case in past disciplinary cases heard by Goodell. Players disciplined have the right to go back to the commissioner’s office and make an appeal of the decision.’
