‘I can’t believe I’m saying this, just two weeks after the fact, but it was worse than the Cleveland loss on Monday night. In terms of offensive futility, squandered opportunities and dumb coaching, it ranks with the worst home losses in recent times.’

‘How telling it is that while the Bills, at 6-6, acknowledged the blow this result dealt to their playoff chances, the 49ers, at 4-8, spoke in terms of hope and belief and eventual prosperity. The Niners feel like they’re getting somewhere.’

‘”We certainly talk about conserving our timeouts,” head coach Dick Jauron said after a 10-3 loss to the San Francisco 49ers. “But we also say if we have to use them we’re going to use them. It’s not a positive thing, obviously.”‘

‘Bills RB Marshawn Lynch: Too bad Lynch’s superlative effort was wasted. He rushed for a season-high 134 yards and was in Beast Mode all day. However, he did have a fumble that cost the Bills three points.’

‘Another cold, wet late-season game, another woeful performance by Trent Edwards, and you can add insult with an injury. Edwards hurt his hamstring early in the game and struggled through a miserable first half that saw him complete 10 of 21 passes with several throws buried into the turf before giving away to J.P. Losman.’

‘They will not, however, be able to over-exaggerate how bad the football was.’

‘”I need to get in the training room and get better,” he said.’

‘The Bills made dud quarterback Shaun Hill look like a Pro Bowler through the first few series, surrendering big plays on San Fran’s first four third-down attempts.’

‘I think I speak for a majority of Bills fans when I say I can only hope Jauron does not return as coach of the Buffalo Bills. I have said before that with Jauron as your coach, it guarantees at least four losses a year. Last year Jauron could have easily been held accountable for the Monday night loss to Dallas when he had the defensive secondary playing 10 yards off the receiver which opened up Terrell Owens and company to march down the field in the final minutes for the win.’

‘”Pull, strain, whatever you want to call it, it is still kind of just nagging me right now, prohibiting me from a lot of things I want to do out there. It is unfortunate, it’s frustrating, and I need to get to the training room and get better.”‘
