‘Terrence McGee did not play and his place was taken mostly by rookie Leodis McKelvin. He had four tackles and was beaten on many short passes. Jabari Greer had 12 tackles but that is too many meaning too many passes were completed. Ashton Youboty had four tackles and dropped a sure interception. Donte Whitner had nine tackles. Ko Simpson left the game in the first half with a hamstring injury and was replaced by George Wilson who had three tackles. Grade F: Gave up a whopping 33 completions.’

‘Entire Defense – They didn’t force a first half punt and gave up a whopping 373 yards in the loss.’

‘For the Cards, QB Kurt Warner went 33 of 42 passing for 250 yds, with 2 TDs. Running back Edgerrin James had 21 carries for 57 yds and 1 TD, while Tim Hightower also rushed for two of his own.’

‘I’ve openly wondered — both on the air and on the mic — how the

Bills would fare once they ran into a decent receiving corps, and they

didn’t fare very well. Larry Fitzgerald was dynamic, and Steve

Breaston filled in admirably for Anquan Boldin. Imagine if Boldin was

healthy and dressed. Sweet mercy.’

‘Second-year quarterback Trent Edwards, a major reason Buffalo was one of three unbeaten teams entering the day, went down with a concussion on a fierce hit from Cardinals safety Adrian Wilson on the third play of the game. It was the Bills’ defense that collapsed after that.’

‘Trent Edwards was forced to leave the game with a concussion on the third play from scrimmage and J.P. Losman struggled in relief. Losman accounted for three turnovers in throwing for 220 yards on 15-of-21 passing with a touchdown and an interception. Lee Evans hauled in an 87-yard TD catch, highlighting a two- catch, 100-yard effort while Marshawn Lynch was limited to 55 yards on 13 carries for the Bills (4-1), who rallied from a 14-6 halftime deficit last Sunday to down the St. Louis Rams, 31-14. The Bills were seeking their first 5-0 start since 1991.’

‘The dazed and glassy-eyed quarterback was later carted to the locker room. As a team Buffalo looked a bit dazed as well.’

‘Buffalo started the game with the ball and Edwards completed three straight passes but took a nasty blow to the head on his third pass. The ball was caught by James Hardy but Arizona’s Adrian Wilson had a clean line to the QB and leveled Edwards with a forceful hit.’

‘Edwards, who had directed Buffalo to a 4-0 record, lay on the ground for several minutes before being helped to the sideline. He was carted off the field, and the Bills reported a short time later that he had a concussion.’

‘Other Buffalo inactives included wide receiver Roscoe Parrish, who is still recovering from thumb surgery.’

‘McGee will be replaced by Ashton Youboty, who has had an inspired season after being a disappointment following his selection in the third round of the 2006 draft, and this year’s first-rounder, Leodis McKelvin. But it’s the 5-11, 180-pound Greer, who will draw the 6-foot-3, 220-pound Fitzgerald.’

‘Such is the fate of a team that hasn’t made the post-season for a franchise-record eight straight years.’
