‘But there’s something to be said for a team that picks up steam as the game evolves. It speaks to coaching adjustments, and it indicates a relentless mind-set among the players.’

‘But the Bills made the proper adjustments at halftime. After rushing for only 18 yards on 10 carries in the first half, Buffalo gashed the St. Louis defense at the start of the third quarter. On the opening series, the Bills ran seven times for 67 yards, capping the scoring drive with a 22-yard run by Fred Jackson.’

‘I don’t know what goes on in the locker room at halftime but this staff does an amazing job making the adjustments and they deserve a tremendous amount of credit for the three straight fourth quarter comeback wins.’

made him pick No. 13 in April’s draft. He was fast, decisive, exciting

and hard-hitting. His reputation was for dropping interceptions, but

the team didn’t let Torry Holt kill them, and McKelvin was a part of

it. Good game.’

‘The Bills were outgained by more than one hundred yards (380-277), but made big plays when it counted.’

‘The Bills continue to do it the hard way. The question is how long will they get away with struggling early and turning it on in the second half. Eventually they have to put a full game together or else this will catch up with them. Maybe as early as this week in the desert. There is not getting around the fact that this team has a tremendous amount of confidence that they can pull out any game at anytime. So far they have pulled them all out leaving many smiling faces in Bills Nation.’

‘Fred Jackson had seven carries for 46 yards and a score while Lee Evans had two catches for 88 yards and a touchdown and also added a two-point conversion for Buffalo, which is off to its first 4-0 start since 1992.’

‘For the first time in 16 years, the Buffalo Bills are 4-0. Unlike the previous two weeks, there was no need for late-game heroics to keep them unbeaten.’

‘The Bills have become just the eighth team in the last five years to go from a 1-3 or 0-4 start the previous year to a 4-0 start the following season. Buffalo was 1-3 at this time last season. All seven of the previous teams to pull off that feat qualified for the postseason.’
