‘The first day of the 2007 Draft will be extremely important for a Bills team that cut ties with the likes of running back Willis McGahee, linebackers Takeo Spikes and London Fletcher-Baker, and cornerback Nate Clements during the offseason. At least one of those holes will probably filled prior to the draft, with a possible trade for San Diego backup running back Michael Turner being speculated about at present.’

‘NFL regular season schedules will be released this week.’

‘Buffalo will host Atlanta and Tennessee in the second and third preseason weeks. The preseason schedule concludes with a trip to Detroit to face the Lions in week four.’

‘The game, announced Monday, will be played Aug. 10, and marks a homecoming for Losman, who played college football at Tulane. The second of Buffalo’s two 2004 draft picks, Losman will be entering his third season as a starter after securing the job by leading the Bills to a better-than-expected 7-9 finish last season.’

‘The Titans will travel to New England to face the Patriots in Week 2, and travel to Buffalo in Week 3 to play the Bills.’

‘With the style of defense the Bills play, they need linebackers that attack the line of scrimmage in order to be successful versus the run. The team obviously felt MLB London Fletcher-Baker and OLB Takeo Spikes didn’t fit that style, which is why both players are gone.’
