CB Greer re-signs with Bills

‘A three-year NFL veteran, Greer signed a two-year contract that will pay him more than $1 million this season, including guaranteed bonus money. The Bills could have retained Greer’s rights by offering him a one-year tender.’

Bills Re-Sign Greer

‘"I was anxious to see what direction we were going to go and what was going to happen, but I knew I wanted to be here," said Greer. "I knew I had an opportunity here to be on a team that was progressing toward the end of last season. I’m excited that things happened the way they did."’

Buffalo Jills Trip Journal From Kuwait & Iraq

‘There were so many people from Buffalo and Niagara Falls that we were able to talk to. We actually knew a couple of them. Some of us video taped some of them saying hello to their families with the channel 7 video camera that we have. I hope that they show some of that, it was really nice.’

Bills set to go shopping

‘The Bills have been in talks with Kiwaukee Thomas, their No. 3 corner last season, and there seems to be a good chance he will return to the team. That would be a key retention, given the fact Clements is sure to land elsewhere. Shelton also is sure to be gone.’

If anyone deserves a hefty raise this offseason, it’s LB Fletcher

‘If I had to choose, it would be including this guy in my defense. He plays hard. He plays well. He’s a leader, controlling his defense as coolly and confidently as Peyton Manning controls his offense. His character is unassailable. And he seldom makes mistakes. Don’t ask me why he never was named to a Pro Bowl team. It makes no sense. And don’t ask Fletcher, either.’

If McGahee’s through, Bills should look to Green

‘At this point in his career, Green isn’t worthy of carrying the ball 25 times per game. Fifteen or 20 touches, however, would be right up his alley. The fact that Green has 350 career catches (including 46 in 2006) is appealing, too. Having his pass-catching ability from the backfield would no doubt further young quarterback J.P. Losman’s development, because it will give the three-year veteran one more much-needed aerial option.’
