Bills beef up offensive line by signing trio

‘”It’s very obvious that it was an area we felt was very important to improve,” said Levy. “Naturally the moves we make, we feel they improve us. Now we have to go out on the field and make it work and make it mesh. We think it’s a very positive step forward.”‘

Bills Sign Three Offensive Linemen

‘The Bills also agreed to terms with tackle Langston Walker. Walker was a second-round pick of the Oakland Raiders in 2002.’

Bills sign OLs Dockery, Walker and Whittle

‘Dockery, who spent the past four seasons with Washington, was considered the key addition. The Redskins’ third-round pick in the 2003 draft, he had 61 starts in 64 career games with Washington.’

Bills Bolster O-line Further With Walker and Whittle

‘”Once I got here I knew this was a good organization to work for so I’m happy to be here,” said Walker.’

Big Addition to Buffalo’s Offensive Line

‘The Bills look to finally have a permanent answer for their left guard position as they signed Washington free agent guard Derrick Dockery to a multi-year deal on the first full day of free agency Friday.’

Bills reach deal with Redskins’ OG Dockery

Buffalo on Friday night reached an agreement with four-year veteran Derrick Dockery, who had played his entire career with the Washington Redskins, on a seven-year, $49 million contract, ESPN.com learned.

Bills Break Bank, Sign Dockery

‘Cash to the cap may have sounded restrictive, but the Buffalo Bills did not hold back when pursuing a player they believe will help their suspect offensive line.’

Bills sign G Dockery to seven-year deal

‘That would make the deal identical to the one that Hutchinson, a four-time Pro Bowler, secured from the Minnesota Vikings last year.’

Clements Hits Jackpot In SF

‘NFL.com reports Clements deal included $22 million in guaranteed money.’

Bills ink veteran OL Whittle

‘Whittle played in all 16 games last season for the Minnesota Vikings and started two in place of the injured Artis Hicks. In nine career seasons — with the New York Giants, Tampa Bay and Minnesota — Whittle has started 42 of 125 career games.’

Bills in 1-year deal with OL Whittle; meet with Walker, Dockery

‘The Bills weren’t stopping there, announcing that two other free agent offensive linemen — mammoth tackle Langston Walker and guard Derrick Dockery — were visiting the team’s Orchard Park headquarters Friday.’

Another Lineman Whittle Visiting With Buffalo Bills

‘Whittle (6’4″, 305) spent seven of his previous nine NFL seasons with the Giants (1998-2002, 2004-2005) and was part of the club’s Super Bowl team in 2000 that faced Baltimore in Super Bowl XXXV. He was originally a rookie free agent signing of the Giants in 1998.’

OL Dockery Also In Buffalo For A Visit

‘The 6’6″ 335 pound lineman has been Washington’s starting left guard since the time the Redskins made him a third round draft pick in 2003. Over the last two seasons one thing Washington has been able to do is run the football ranking 7th in rushing in 2005 and 4th in 2006.’

Redskins await Fletcher, complete deals with 3 others

‘Fletcher, a free agent from the Buffalo Bills, was an immediate target for the usually aggressive Redskins. He was to visit Redskins Park on Friday, often a sign that a deal will be completed before the day’s end.’

Raiders Free Agent RT Walker Visiting Today

‘Walker is a massive tackle/guard that has been a two-year starter for the Raiders. Last season he was Oakland’s starting right tackle for all 16 games. In 2005, Walker started the first six games at left guard before missing the rest of the season with a stomach injury.’
