‘”This is a tough sport, there are tremendous highs and tremendous lows sometimes,” said Holcomb. “I’ve been around long enough to know that you’ve just got to keep plugging. I’m not happy, but that’s where I am right now. You can’t get discouraged. When something like that happens, human nature is to get discouraged and yesterday I was a little discouraged, but what can you do? You’ve got to come out and you’ve got to perform and we’ve got a game this Friday, so I’ve got to go out and do well in that game.”‘

‘(on JP being the front runner) That’s the business, I’ve been around it long enough. You have to go out and perform, changes are going to be made and decisions are going to be made. It’s hard sometimes not to hang your head, but you have to come out here and compete still and that’s what I tried to do today.’

‘(on if the offensive line has a preference at QB) Not really, we have faith in whoever is behind us. We’re definitely behind every single quarterback that plays whether its Craig, Kelly or JP, we’re behind them 100%.’

‘(on what’s at stake for him) I’m very anxious. The sooner I get back the better, but at the same time, I’m being smart about it so it doesn’t reoccur. I’m trying to get back to myself and the rhythm of playing football again.’
