‘You have eight new linemen this year would you consider that high turnover from one year to the next?
JM: It probably is high turnover, but most of that turnover has come from the backups and reserves. There hasn’t been as much turnover among the starters from last year. The only starter that’s changed right now is Trey Teague.’

‘The reason that the 6-foot-2, 230-pound linebacker was not drafted was because of his speed, which when measured by a stopwatch is not quite as good as some others. This, SVSU coach Randy Awrey said, sometimes would throw off the scouts, especially the younger guys. The older scouts, though, watched film of DiGiorgio and saw a linebacker who went sideline to sideline with speedy running backs while delivering vicious hits. They saw that the guy can play football, enough so that Jacksonville, Green Bay, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh and Buffalo all showed interest in DiGiorgio in the days leading up to the draft. Of course, he wasn’t drafted, but was able to pick a situation for himself in Buffalo.’
‘Although he’s only 241 pounds, the left defensive end position could be a good place for Posey to transition. Currently, the Bills’ strikingly unspectacular duo at that particular spot includes Ryan Denney and Chris Kelsay, two ex-second-rounders who have failed to live up to their draft status. Because of that, it might be worthwhile for Fewell, and head coach Dick Jauron, to at least give Posey a crack at the position. If he fails, then cut the cord on the experiment and simply move on.’
