Into the Cold

‘Last week in this space, we discussed the Broncos’ recent record in conditions of varying temperatures in recent years, noting that the Broncos are 1-5 since 2002 in games that were played in temperatures below 30 degrees in that span. But in some ways, the Broncos are well-equipped for what they will face Saturday. “I think is that this team is well set-up to play in any conditions because we stop the run very well and we run the football extremely well,” Lynch said. “So I think we’ve got to kind of look at those conditions as an advantage for us.”‘

Plummer going with the flow

‘”We’ve been getting early leads and controlling the ball,” Plummer said. “I haven’t been in a lot of heavy passing situations. I’ve been doing a better job not forcing things and taking off or throwing the ball away. I’m playing pretty good ball, and everyone around me is playing real well. That’s making my job easy.”‘

‘Williams costs the Bills big money. He is making $7 million this season, and counts for $7.8 million against the salary cap. He was asked to take a pay cut last season, and to restructure his deal before this season. Both times he declined. His cap number soars to $9.46 million next year and guards don’t command that kind of money.’
