Carolina (7-3) at Buffalo (4-6)

‘Panthers 21, Bills 16.’

Bills’ OL Williams upbeat despite setbacks

‘"You’ve got to learn how to overcome. And this is an overcoming point," Williams said. "I overcame things inside of football and outside of football. So why should this situation be any different?"’

Campbell questionable due to hamstring

‘Coach Mike Mularkey said Campbell’s availability will be a game-time decision Sunday. Campbell, who leads Bills tight ends with 15 catches for 125 yards, was hurt during last weekend’s 48-10 loss at San Diego.’

6. Carolina Panthers at Buffalo Bills

The Bills beat the Chiefs at home two weeks ago and looked good. However, everything malfunctioned against the Chargers, and a repeat of that performance could cause some serious reevaluations in Buffalo. The defense has some older linebackers and safeties, so the window for winning might be short. It still makes you wonder why the Bills gave away Drew Bledsoe without knowing for sure that quarterback J.P. Losman was ready to be the starter.

Bills Games on Thanksgiving Day

‘Here’s a look back at the games the Buffalo Bills have been a part of on Thanksgiving Day…’

Toyota Insures That Game Will Be Televised

‘Toyota and the Buffalo Bills will donate the remaining tickets for Sunday’s game to the Boys and Girls Club of Buffalo, the Northwest Buffalo Community Center, Make-A-Wish and local military personnel and their families.’

No end to Peppers’ talents

‘Carolina ranks seventh in the NFL in yards allowed and is fourth against the run. The Panthers have held their last five foes under 300 yards, and the Bills have cracked the 300-yard mark only three times all year. This is the third straight week in which the strength of the opposing defense matches the strength of the Bills’ offense, the running game.’

Panthers plug hole at LB

‘The Bills listed three starters as questionable – cornerback Terrence McGee (hamstring), defensive tackle Sam Adams (knee) and tight end Mark Campbell (hamstring) – and each did not practice.’

Carolina (7-3) at Buffalo (4-6)

‘"It seemed like nothing was going our way," said Bills quarterback J.P. Losman, who started in place of the injured Kelly Holcomb after coming off the bench to lead Buffalo to a 14-3 victory over Kansas City a week earlier. "That’s just the way this game is. That’s what makes the wins so enjoyable, because you know how bad it feels to lose like this."’

Bills Soldout, Thanks to Toyota

‘The blackout was lifted when Toyota, the official vehicle of the Buffalo Bills purchased the remaining tickets.’

Bills’ Losman gets starting nod again

‘It will be the sixth start of the season for Losman, the Bills’ opening-game starter until losing the job after four games. He has passed for 738 yards with four touchdowns and three picks this season.’

Mularkey’s quietly begun calling the plays on offense

‘Clements declined to be interviewed on Wednesday and told reporters to go ask Mularkey about any play-calling issues. But Mularkey also declined comment. “It’s an in-house subject and I’m going to keep it at that,” he said.’

Mularkey sends word to McGahee: no bragging

‘”It’s been at least a month ago (since he made the comment) and it won’t go away,” Mularkey said. “Unfortunately when you say things like that it is bulletin board material. We use it anytime we get an opportunity … Any time you can find a motivating tool you’re going to use that to your advantage and I told that to Willis.”‘

Spending Tuesdays with Mr. Moorman

‘”I guess some of them see me as a hero because I play professional football, and that’s cool,” says Moorman, who received Pro Football Weekly’s Arthur S. Arkush Humanitarian Award in late August and is the Bills nominee for the NFL’s 2005 Walter Payton Award. “But I really don’t see myself as a hero. To me, these kids are the real heroes.”‘

Fox was once a finalist for Bills’ coaching job

‘”They interviewed three or four guys and made their own selection,” Fox said after Wednesday’s practice. “And the way things have worked out, I’m pleased.”‘
