Losman has business-like approach heading into Bills camp

‘”I’ve been waiting for a long time, a lot of work in the offseason, for this moment,” he said. “I’m as prepared as I’m going to get. I think my biggest challenge this offseason was to learn the offense. I think I did that. Hopefully, I can show it here in this camp.”‘

Bills Agree to Term with Parrish

‘Parrish is the fifth of the Bills six draft picks to agree to terms with the team.’

2005 preview: Bills

‘The Bills will finish 7-9 and third in the AFC East.’

Roscoe Parrish Comes To Terms

‘The rookie receiver is on route to St. John Fisher and will not miss any practice time.’

Bills sign 2nd-round pick, WR Parrish

‘Receiver Roscoe Parrish, the Buffalo Bills’ second-round draft pick, agreed to terms of a four-year, $2.7 million contract Friday.’

Bills set to start without Parrish

‘”This isn’t at the point where you would say, “Boy, we’re really concerned about that particular player,’ ” Donahoe said. “We’ve had conversations (with Rosenhaus). We’ve talked about some parameters of the kinds of deals we’d like to do. I believe we’ll be able to get something done.”‘

Armed and ready

‘”It’s a good nucleus here, and we have very good players — and the expectations should be high, not only in the locker room but from our fans,” safety Lawyer Milloy said.’

Bills sign defensive pick King

‘King, the Bills’ only defensive player selected in April, started 42 games at Wake Forest and recorded 217 tackles and seven interceptions. He’s expected to compete for Buffalo’s nickel back position after an impressive spring.’

Bills are justified in early optimism

‘As for these Bills, no team has earned more of a right to dream big during these dog days, having finished 2004 with a 9-7 record, winning nine of their final 12 games to get there.’

Nothing posh about early Bills camps

‘In 1960, Bills players traveled back and forth from their practice fields at the Knox Estates to their makeshift locker room inside the East Aurora High School gymnasium in rented school buses. The Bills had to supply the drivers – usually any willing player.’

Resurfaced Growney Stadium enhances fans’ view

‘Fisher officials ripped up the old synthetic turf – a surface resembling indoor/outdoor carpet that would have worked well on your patio – and installed the latest in new-fangled fake grass.’

Losman enters a solid situation

‘”This move, I would have done it if I was the Buffalo Bills,” Simms said of releasing Bledsoe and turning the reins over to Losman. “I would have moved away from Drew Bledsoe. They drafted him in the first round and the second they drafted him, the clock was ticking on Drew. The only way you could stop it was over-the-top play, which didn’t happen.”‘

Famed QB Kelly rooting for Losman to find success

‘”I’m behind him 100 percent – whatever he needs, I’m there,” Kelly says. “I want to see him succeed. Heck, I’m a season-ticket holder, too, and I want the Buffalo Bills to get back to where they belong, competing for a Super Bowl.”‘

Tireless Mularkey wants even more

‘How long did it take Mularkey to put that loss to the Steelers, a team he played and coached for, behind him? “I’m not sure I have,” he said. “I’m a poor loser.”‘

Bills get depth, girth to replace void

‘Coach Mike Mularkey contends that Williams might not be as big a loss as some might think. Mularkey believes that fifth-year veteran Ron Edwards and second-year man Tim Anderson can combine to fill the sizable gap next to Adams and allow the defense – second-best in the NFL in 2004 – to continue excelling.’
