The Bills’ defense is more difficult to push around. Both defensive tackles, Pat Williams (6-3, 310) and Sam Adams (6-3, 330), are heavy anchors in the middle of the Buffalo line. The Miami Dolphins had no such players. Williams, for the position, is an excellent athlete. His best game can be awesome, so the Jets should spend little time probing the middle.

‘Mularkey says Drew Haddad was limited with a sore hamstring. With that in mind, he’s was released with 7th round pick Jonathan Smith elevated from the practice squad. Haddad will probably be added to the practice squad once he clears waivers.’

‘I noticed you gave your first touchdown ball to fullback Daimon Shelton for his nice block to spring you into the end zone. I think this is a great gesture on your part, and I wish more NFL players were selfless instead of selfish. How did Daimon react to you giving him the ball? Was there any response from the coaches or teammates either?

WM: Daimon was surprised. He wasn’t expecting it. It caught him off guard. The coaches and my teammates just said great job. It’s wasn’t anything big.’

‘The competition will take place prior to the game (9:30-10:30 a.m.) on field at Ralph Wilson Stadium and a passing exhibition will also take place on field at halftime. Team Champions will be announced at the end of the third quarter. A list of competitors and their hometowns is attached.’
