LeBeau checking his options before making commitment

‘The Bills, who do not have an opening on their staff, might be willing to create a position for LeBeau, who has been a player or a coach in the NFL for the past 44 years. “We would be willing to do that,” Bills president Tom Donahoe said. “You have to create something that the guy feels comfortable with and he feels like he’s making a contribution.”‘

Bills owner Wilson a Hall finalist

‘Owner Ralph Wilson and guard Joe DeLamielleure, who brought glory and winning to the Buffalo Bills, are among the 15 finalists in voting Saturday for the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Wilson, of Grosse Pointe Shores, was an original owner of the Bills when they joined the American Football League.’

Rob Johnson, understudy

‘”I’ve gone through some rough times,” said Johnson, now 29. “There have been a lot of disappointments and injuries. I had that playoff game won against Tennessee, if you remember, a couple of years ago (2000). But then the Titans pulled off The Music City Miracle. Stuff just seems to happen to me.”‘

Rob Johnson OK with being No. 2

‘“It’s a situation I picked out,” Rob said Thursday of joining the Buccaneers this season, even though Brad beat him out for the starting job in training camp. “I wanted to learn a lot of football from (coach) Jon Gruden. I wouldn’t change a thing. I could have gone to other places, I could have gone back to Buffalo. I’m glad to be here.”’

Len Pasquarelli: Jags reach agreement with ex-quarterback Harris

Two weeks of interviews and one surprising rejection later, the Jaguars have reached an agreement with Ravens pro personnel director James Harris.

Also interviewed was Buffalo Bills assistant GM Tom Modrak. Harris played for the Buffalo Bills (1969-71) as well as other teams and was named as the most valuable player in the 1975 Pro Bowl game.

Sack Back Program

While he has built a career on preventing sacks, Bills all-pro guard Ruben Brown participated in an event that promoted giving them up. On Wednesday, January 22, Brown joined representatives of Tops Friendly Markets to cap the "Sack Back" program.

Billy Buffalo In Hawaii

Billy Buffalo will once again represent the Buffalo Bills at the NFL Pro Bowl in Hawaii. Check in on the week's events by reading Billy's postcards starting Wednesday, January 29.

Billy will answer questions from fans and let everyone know how he and the players – guard Ruben Brown, quarterback Drew Bledsoe, running back Travis Henry and wide receiver Eric Moulds – are spending their week in paradise

Bills raise nearly all ticket prices

‘Ticket prices will now range from $30 – $39 for season ticket holders and $30 -$48 for tickets to individual games.’

Playoff Flashback: Jan. 23, 1994

The Buffalo Bills made history by becoming the only team ever to reach four consecutive Super Bowls with a solid, 30-13, victory over the Chiefs in the AFC Championship game. RB Thurman Thomas set a franchise record with 189 rushing yards on 33 carries and a club-record three TDs.

Where Are They Now: Mark Kelso

With 30 career interceptions, third on Buffalo’s all-time list, Kelso played eight seasons for the Bills and started in all four of the team’s Super Bowl appearances. However, some of his fondest memories as a member of the Bills didn’t occur on the field.

Wilson gave Raiders aid to stay afloat

‘Over breakfast in San Francisco, Wilson asked Valley how much money he needed to keep going for a year. “He said, ‘I need $400,000,’ ” Wilson said. “I said, ‘OK. I’ll put it up because I want the league to keep going.’ “‘

Bulldozing clear path to Canton

‘“Joe D. did everything by example on the field and off,” Rutigliano. “One wife, one life, he has been a role model for a lot of people.”’

Coaching carousel: Ruel joins Bills

‘”I remember looking at film of them when the Packers played them late in the season and remember thinking how much talent the team has on both sides of the football. The offensive line in particular has a strong nucleus and a great mix of solid veterans and young players. I’m looking forward to it tremendously.”‘

Bills sign four free agents

‘Former Green Bay running back De’Mond Parker signed a free agent contract with the Buffalo Bills on Wednesday. The Bills also signed cornerback Ronald Hardge, tight end Ryan Neufeld and linebacker Josh Stamer.’

Bills Add Four To Roster
