Riemersma willing to re-do contract

‘"I think one of the things that’s been unfairly written about my situation is that Jay Riemersma refuses to restructure. Restructure and doing other things are two totally different things. I’m open to any possibilities."’

Bills reward Centers with longer deal

‘Details weren’t released but Centers, who a year ago signed a two-year deal worth about $2 million with incentives — including $800,000 in base salary for 2002 — will very likely be given more guaranteed money and his deal will run at least through the 2003 season.’

Riemersma hopes to stay

”’It’s tough, let me tell you,” Riemersma said. ”You read and see some of the things, I just hope this all gets resolved as quickly as possible. We’ll find out here in a week or so but I’m up here in good faith, just trying to earn a spot like everyone else.”’

Marino to play in charity game

‘Marino and a collection of ex-Dolphins will play a team of Bills alumni quarterbacked by Jim Kelly in a charity flag-football game July 21 at the University of Buffalo. Other ex-Dolphins expected to participate include wide receiver Mark Duper, fullback Keith Byars and kicker Pete Stoyanovich.’

Bills mini-camp gets underway

‘"I definitely think there have been a lot of positive changes made," Centers said. "Bringing in Drew Bledsoe and London Fletcher and Eddie Robinson, guys like that with leadership qualities."’

Camp Report: Moulds Excited About Possibilities

"It's extremely exciting for me, said Buffalo's top receiver. "I'm just going to go out there and work hard. Drew loves to throw the ball deep so I think we're going to have some exciting times out there at Ralph Wilson Stadium."

Centers shows up, Fina a no-show

Williams denied that Fina’s absence foretold an imminent release. "John and I talked about that," the coach said. "He probably came back (from off-season surgery) too fast last year. There’s nothing to read into that."

Bills Publish Online Book

As the Bills work through a busy off-season and prepare to write a new chapter in team history, buffalobills.com columnist Tim O'Shei is spending the next several weeks collecting feedback from buffalobills.com users to write an online book about the team.

Superstar Bills

From Jack Kemp and Billy Shaw to Andre Reed and Thurman Thomas, the Bills have had some great players over the years. Buffalobills.com columnist Tim O'Shei take a look back at the Superstars in the third chapter of his online book.

Kent Hull Inducted To Wall Of Fame

Hull was the greatest center in Bills history, playing with the franchise for 11 seasons. He was one of the reasons that the Bills were a dominant force in the AFC during the early 1990s. Hull joined the NJ Generals of the USFL in 1983, and when the USFL folded in 1986, he joined former Generals teammate Jim Kelly in Buffalo, where he spent his entire NFL career.

Which game he will be inducted has not been revealed yet.

Jennings welcomes switch from tackle

But while Jennings rates among the Bills’ top five linemen, according to their coaches and general manager Tom Donahoe, it would be premature to assume he will line up at tackle again in 2002. Instead, with Buffalo having improved the quality and quantity of a young blocking unit during the offseason, Jennings could be moved to center.

Galaxy tops Admirals

Curtis Alexander was a game hero, rushing 17 times for 109 yards (average 6.4 yards) and was the leading receiver as well catching 4 passes for 51 yards as their team rebounded from last week’s first loss of the season last week without him. Alexander had many critcal plays including a 24 yard run and a 34 yard run and a 30 yard pass.
