The Buffalo Bills will be without their best defensive player for the rest of the season.
Bills rookie coach Gregg Williams probably regrets his decision to waive veteran LB John Holecek in training camp in the wake of Cowart’s injury. Holecek was a starter at inside LB in Buffalo’s 3-4 defense last year, but was deemed expendable when Williams switched to a 4-3 alignment.
