Marker Receivers coach Graves returns after cancer surgery [8:58 AM]
Buffalo News reports: '"I'd like to thank the Bills organization, Mr. (Ralph) Wilson and Tom Donahoe, who are great people," Graves said. "I think I've been very fortunate to catch it very early. The doctors did a great job, and my recovery has been very good."'

Marker Hamilton native says NFL can be 'overwhelming' [5:36 AM]
Hamilton Spectator reports: 'The scouting report on the Hamilton native -- who signed as a free agent after being bypassed in the NFL draft --says he's a good pass-blocker with speed and great catching ability. Thomas hopes to occupy one of the open spots next to veteran tight ends Dave Moore and Mark Campbell after final cuts are made on Aug. 31.'

Marker Tucker hopes he fits the Bills [5:35 AM]
Princeton Packet reports: '"It suits my style well," Tucker said. "Most teams are similar, and there are a lot of similarities here. We have a heck of an offensive coordinator in Kevin Gilbride and I'm excited about the possibilities."'

Marker Rams practice indoors; get ready for Buffalo [9:18 PM] reports: 'This is the third time in the last four years the teams have met in the preseason. The teams last met in the preseason in 2001, with the Rams winning 24-10 at Buffalo.'

Marker Buffalo Bills 2003 Season Preview [5:11 PM]
The Sports Network reports: 'Bills win nine, but no playoff shuffle in Buffalo.'

Marker Bills coach returns to practice after prostate surgery [4:10 PM]
AP reports: '''It's great to have him back,'' Moulds said. ''And I know it feels good for him to be back instead of sitting around at his house. Now he's back being able to do what he loves to do.'''

Marker Graves Returns To Bills Sideline [4:08 PM] reports: '"I talked to (head coach) Gregg (Williams) yesterday and I talked to (President/GM) Tom (Donahoe)," said Graves. "I'm ready to go. The doctor released me. The only thing he told me was 'if you get tired, sit down.''

Marker Bills collide with Rams [4:07 PM]
The Sports Network reports: 'The Rams looked good en route to their 26-16 victory over Tampa Bay at home on Monday. Kurt Warner completed all seven of his pass attempts in the victory. Warner played just the opening possession and was perfect, throwing for 55 yards and leading the Rams on a 14-play, 66-yard drive that resulted in a field goal.'

Marker Training Camp Journal: Mark Campbell Entry #3 [11:05 AM] reports: 'Buffalo has been great to me in the few months that I've been here. I wanted to let the fans know that their support has meant a lot to this team. We have some of the best fans in the NFL and I can't wait to walk through that tunnel for the first time as a Buffalo Bill and listen to that crowd.'

Marker Training Camp Journal: Pierson Prioleau Entry #3 [11:05 AM] reports: 'We didn't have a real good showing down in Tennessee, so we knew that things needed to be done and that improvements needed to be made. We have a lot of potential but we also realized that potential means nothing. We have to actually go out on the field and prove ourselves week in and week out.'

Marker David Baca special IRP program [9:26 AM] reports: 'David Baca joins forces with NFL Hall of Fame's Jim Kelly and the Hunter's Hope Foundation.'

Marker Climbing the depth chart [9:23 AM]
Buffalo News reports: '"He's the classic example from a coach's eyes of a guy who has had an opportunity handed to him and has taken it and run with it," Williams said Wednesday after the Bills' final camp practice at St. John Fisher College. "With the limited reps that everybody gets, when you take advantage of the reps you've got, you deserve more. He's deserved more throughout the offseason, throughout the minicamps and off-season conditioning program. And he's done a very good job in training camp of putting himself in a position to make this football team."'

Marker Best camp news: No serious injuries [9:22 AM]
Buffalo News reports: '"It's been very good how we've got up the frequency of snaps without taking the pounding and without having these guys on the field too long," Williams said.'

Marker Training camp billboard [9:22 AM]
Buffalo News reports: 'An estimated 2,000 fans attended the final workout. Though no official tally was released, attendance appeared to be down from last year. However, the Bills had 6,000 spectators for each of their three Monday night practices. "We really want to thank the fans for everything they do. They get a chance to be around the Bills and the Bills enjoy being around the fans," said Williams.'

Marker Bills head for Orchard Park [5:35 AM]
Rochester D&C reports: 'The Bills enjoy the chance to be around the fans. We’ve had good chemistry throughout camp with the fans.” While the Bills and Fisher don’t provide official attendance figures, a logical assumption is that the total was down because there were only 16 days of full-squad practice. There also were only two days with two-a-day practices for the entire team.'

Marker Bills coach satisfied with pace of training [5:34 AM]
Rochester D&C reports: 'If it’s up to quarterback Drew Bledsoe, and it is to an extent, second-year receiver Clarence Coleman will make the final 53-man roster. “Clarence had a great camp,” Bledsoe said. “ We expect him to be a productive player for us this year. He’s really taken that next step, from a young guy to a legitimate NFL player.”'

AP reports: '''Our offense needs to get on track, and our defense needs to shorten the field,'' coach Gregg Williams said.'

Marker Bills Close Doors At St. John Fisher [2:54 PM]
WGR-AM reports: 'After practice, the annual rookie relay race began. The rooks had to run to the veterans, who then spun them around a baseball bat (mercilessly). The confused players would then run to a football, pick it up, and tag the next man in line. Drew Bledsoe and Sam Gash didn't have to worry about actually running in the race, but both said that it's the type of thing that goes a long way for team chemistry.'

Marker Bills release seven players [2:38 PM]
AP reports: 'The cuts came prior to Buffalo's preseason home-opener against the St. Louis Rams on Saturday, and six days before NFL teams are to reduce their rosters to a maximum 65 players. The moves leave the Bills with 75 players, including first-round draft pick Willis McGahee, the former Miami star running back who's recovering from a left knee injury and is on the active non-football injury list.'

Marker Bills Close Out Camp, Head Back To Orchard Park [2:27 PM] reports: '"We've got to come out and we've got to play well in the third preseason game," Bledsoe said. "It's still a preseason game but we need to come out and be productive and get something done."'

Marker Rookie McGee looking to turn the corner [9:10 AM]
Buffalo News reports: '"Terrance has come an awful long way," said Pat Thomas, the Bills' cornerback's coach. "He's learning the system, gradually, and is getting better. He's shown the athletic ability to play in the NFL, he's shown the desire, it's just the matter of learning the techniques. Everyone here likes what we're getting out of Terrence right now, we just have to refine him as much as possible to where he'll be able to take the next step."'

Marker Halfway to the house: Some highlights of camp high life [9:03 AM]
CBS Sportsline reports: Funniest thing I've seen: At the Browns-Bills scrimmage, I was huddled with Buffalo head coach Gregg Williams, trying to hog his time after a workout. In the middle of the conversation a Bills employee sheepishly tried to interrupt to deliver what could be construed as a pretty pertinent message. "Uh coach, I'm not sure how to tell you this," said the Bills PR man. "The buses left without you."

Marker Training-camp reports [8:12 AM]
Pro Football Weekly reports: Rookie to watch: DE Chris Kelsay, the team’s second-round pick, is in a position battle he can win on the left side. Veteran Marcus Jones’ knee problems are improving, but he’s not yet there. Ryan Denney has looked good, but Kelsay has the inside track if he plays well from here on out.
