Marker McGahee hits the ground running [4:54 AM]
Newark Star Ledger reports: '"(The Bills) can run the ball well," Jets coach Herman Edwards said. "That's the whole key. That's the most we've given up all year. They did a good job running and we missed some tackles. (McGahee) made some big runs. He was fast and got to the outside."'

Marker Worth the wait [4:53 AM]
Asbury Park Press reports: '"Good things come to those who wait. I knew I couldn't rush anything," McGahee said of his comeback.'

Marker Late, questionable catch was final nail in Jets' coffin [4:53 AM]
Middletown Times Herald Record reports: 'That got the Jets on the sideline squawking, but squawking was all they could do. They were out of timeouts, so they couldn't challenge the play. "They called it (inbounds)," coach Herman Edwards said afterward, shaking his head.'

Marker Offense Capitalizes on Jets’ Mistakes [4:51 AM] reports: '"The thing that I like is that this team is starting to take on the personality that Mike (Mularkey) has been preaching since he first got here," quarterback Drew Bledsoe said. "The running game is taking off…special teams are playing well…we're not turning the ball over, and our defense is playing well."'

Willis McGahee was a workhorse as he rumbled for 132 yards on 37 carries and a touchdown. The defense added two takeaways and a safety while Drew Bledsoe hit Lee Evans for a score as the Bills pulled off a complete victory before a soldout crowd at Ralph Wilson Stadium.

Marker Everyone Contributes To Complete Victory [4:49 AM]

Marker Jets QB Pennington pulled after bruising right shoulder [8:10 PM]
AP reports: 'Feeling his arm begin to stiffen, Pennington approached coach Herman Edwards in the fourth quarter. The conversation took place after Pennington's last two drives ended with an interception and a 13-yard sack.'

Marker Bills Beat Jets, Win Second Straight [8:03 PM]
WGR-AM reports: 'McGahee was handed the ball 37 times, the most for a Bills running back since 1992. The 37 carries also tied the mark for second most in a single game in franchise history.'

Marker Williams Leaves Game with Neck Injury [7:47 PM] reports: 'X-rays on his neck proved to be negative and Head Coach Mike Mularkey said doctors will take a closer look at him on Monday. "Obviously, first off, you're worried about the guy," said Bledsoe. "Anytime you see somebody laying on the field like that you are concerned. He's a guy I have a lot of respect for and is an important part of this team."'

Marker Bills, McGahee Run Past Jets [7:00 PM] reports: '“They came out and played their type of football,” head coach Herm Edwards said. “They were physical and kept the ball for most of the game. They just beat us, and they deserved to win. When we commit 10 fouls, it makes it very difficult to win on the road.”'

Marker Buffalo 22, NY Jets 17 [4:46 PM]
AP reports: 'Quincy Carter took over, and completed a 51-yard touchdown pass to Santana Moss, cutting the Bills' lead to 22-17 with 4:06 remaining. The Bills responded with an eight-play, 37-yard drive to run out the clock. They might have caught a break in extending that final drive when officials ruled Evans kept both feet inbounds on a 27-yard reception up the right sideline on third-and-8 with 2:31 remaining. But the Jets were unable to challenge after having used their three timeouts.'

Marker Buffalo 22, NY Jets 17 [4:46 PM]
Sportsticker reports: 'Chad Pennington struggled against the wind. The conditions had no effect on Willis McGahee's power running.'

Marker Buffalo 22, NY Jets 17 [4:45 PM]
The Sports Network reports: 'Willis McGahee ran for 132 yards and a touchdown to lead the Buffalo Bills to a 22-17 victory over the New York Jets at Ralph Wilson Stadium. McGahee now has reached the 100-yard mark in all three of his starts, all won by the Bills (3-5).'

Marker Bills' OT Williams taken off in ambulance [4:41 PM]
The Sports Network reports: 'An immobilized Williams gave a thumbs up as he was put in the ambulance. He was then taken to the locker room for x-rays on his neck and back, which were negative, and reportedly had movement in all extremities.'

Marker Bills RT Williams driven off field in ambulance [4:11 PM]
AP reports: 'Bills right tackle Mike Williams appeared to be knocked cold and was driven off the field in an ambulance during the third quarter of Buffalo's game against the New York Jets on Sunday.'

Marker Bills Scouting Report [4:10 PM]
Rochester D&C reports: 'No giveaways. The Bills played turnover-free last week and it’s a must against the Jets, who have turned the ball over a league-low five times. Buffalo can’t give the Jets any breaks because they don’t need them.'

Marker What to Look for vs. Jets [9:35 AM] reports: 'If McGahee can get off to a quick start, the Bills will be able to establish the pass through play-action. The Jets needs to shut him down early or it could be a long day for their defense trying to slow the Bills offense down.'

Marker Winds could ground Bills, Jets [9:19 AM]
Buffalo News reports: 'In the last two Bills home games, against Miami and Arizona, 11 of the 14 scoring drives were with the wind.'

Marker Bills have made strides, but Jets have the edge [9:18 AM]
Buffalo News reports: 'Jets overcome Bills and elements for a 20-16 victory.'

Marker Bills can salvage emotional autumn [9:17 AM]
Buffalo News reports: 'There are still 49 days left in this escalator fall and the Jets' game should be a preview of whether the highs might outperform the lows before winter officially arrives. Was the Bills' explosion against Arizona last week a turnaround in the wind or was it just the Cardinals, a team which seldom wins when it strays above the 50th parallel?'

Marker Triple threat [9:17 AM]
Buffalo News reports: 'The Bills have used all three tight ends in various situations. They could be interchangeable, but they've had distinctly different roles. It coincides with their different personalities and their paths to the NFL. Campbell is the veteran, Neufeld the survivor and Euhus the kid next door who doesn't quite understand the world around him.'

Marker Bills, Jets looking to settle the score [5:14 AM]
Rochester D&C reports: '"We feel like we owe them one," Bills quarterback Drew Bledsoe said candidly. "We feel we didn't play well enough in that game, particularly in the first half, offensively. But we played with them the whole game and we feel like they're a team we can certainly play with."'

Marker Q&A: Tim Euhus [5:13 AM]
Rochester D&C reports: 'What's the dumbest sports cliché you've ever heard? "'You have to learn how to win.' What's that? You don't learn to win, you have to go out and play."'

Marker Ellicottville’s Dunne fits into Bills’ Student Leader role [5:12 AM]
Olean Times Herald reports: '“In just two short months, I’ve learned that Buffalo Bills home games aren’t just games,” said Dunne. “They’re events."'

Marker Another AFC East showdown between Bills, Jets [5:11 AM]
Olean Times Herald reports: '“They’re an excellent defensive football team ... one of the better ones in the league,” he said of the Bills. “It’s hard to move the ball on them ... we were fortunate that day and made a couple of plays and got into field goal range but it was a defensive game and a tough loss for them.”'

Marker Through Mistaken Identity, a Car Dealer Learns the Rules of the Road in the N.F.L. [5:10 AM]
New York Times reports: '"I think of all those people who were calling me and telling me how stupid I was," Gilbride the car salesman said. "Well, my response to them is, 'How stupid does one have to be to think that a professional coach would have his phone number listed and subject himself to all of this abuse?' "'

Marker Heavy D's here [5:09 AM]
New York Daily News reports: 'Kendall (6-5, 280), center Kevin Mawae (6-4, 289) and right guard Brandon Moore (6-3, 295) - the interior of the Jets' efficient, but undersized offensive line - will be responsible for blocking Adams and Williams. The Buffalo tandem is listed at 6-3, 330 and 6-3, 310, respectively, but it doesn't take a Richard Simmons to figure out they're both in the 340-pound range, give or take an all-you-can-eat buffet.'
