Transcript: Coach Mike Mularkey [8:11 PM]
BuffaloBills.com reports: 'You are trying to evaluate players down here. You're also trying to evaluate your team and see who is dependable, accountable and who the physically and mentally tough players are. When it gets hard and they face a little adversity you want to see who can out last it. You also want to find out some things about each phase of the team. You want to see defensively if we are going to be complacent or get better, trying to create more turnovers more than ever. Offensively you want to see if we are going to be a smart offense and a ball control offense. On special teams you want to see if we are going to be consistent. All of those things are going to be evaluated, it's not just what's on film. We are going to hit a little bit more than I think they've hit in the past. Right or wrong I think that is the best way to get a feel for all of those evaluations, which is to start a little more physical and you can then cut back.'
Transcript: Quarterback Drew Bledsoe [8:11 PM]
BuffaloBills.com reports: 'I'm fired up to get going. Anytime you have a tough year you want to put that behind you as quick as you can. For the most part I feel like I've done that, I'm not really too concerned about last year at all. I'm going forward from here and I'm going to be optimistic about the year. That's what's got me fired up, it's not necessarily last year, but just the fact that I feel we have a chance to be very good this year.'
Transcript: Quarterback J.P. Losman [8:10 PM]
BuffaloBills.com reports: 'On what his demands were to his agent: I've known him since I was in about 10th grade of high school, so we have a really good relationship. When he says something's going to happen, I believe him.'
Moulds Back and Healthy for 2004 [8:09 PM]
BuffaloBills.com reports: '"Luckily I didn't have to have surgery," Moulds said. "It was tough to let it (the groin) heal on its own. It's one of the injuries you just need to have rest for it to recover. But it healed nicely and I'm happy with the results."'

SU football 'shut out' before season starts [12:19 PM]
Rochester D&C reports: The host Buffalo Bills are a 3-point favorite over Jacksonville on Sunday, Sept. 12. It probably is a good break for the Bills to catch the young and improving Jaguars so early in the season.
Buffalo Bills Signs First-round Pick Losman [11:39 AM]
AP reports: Losman, a quarterback out of Tulane selected 22nd overall, signed the contract at the Bills headquarters in Orchard Park and was to report to training camp in suburban Rochester later in the day, Bills spokesman Scott Berchtold said. The Bills' first practice is Sunday. The deal includes a $5.6 million signing bonus and could be worth as much as $24.5 million if Losman meets all his incentives.'
Losman seen as Bledsoe's heir apparent [11:38 AM]
ESPN reports: Quarterback J.P. Losman, the heir apparent to Drew Bledsoe's starting job in Buffalo, reached contract agreement with the Bills on Saturday, fulfilling the charge of the former Tulane star to his agent to complete a deal that would get him into camp on time. Losman was the second of the Bills' two choices in the first round of the 2004 draft, and Buffalo had to trade up into Dallas' spot at No. 22, sacrificing their first-round pick in '05, to get him. Buffalo chose wide receiver Lee Evans, who is still unsigned, with their own pick in the first round, the 13th overall selection. General manager Tom Donahoe, who remains unafraid to make bold moves even in the face of occasional criticism, obviously feels Losman represents the team's future. The contract is for five years and has a base value of $7.7 million, with $5.586 million of that in guarantees, largely an initial signing bonus and two option bonuses. The contract can top out, with escalators, at $24.58 million
Bills set to begin training [9:02 AM]
Buffalo News reports: '"We like our team," said Bills President and General Manager Tom Donahoe. "We think we have a team that has a lot of ability. We're enthused about the new coaches that we've added and also about the ability to retain some very good coaches from the previous staff, so there's no reason not to be optimistic."'
Milloy Ready for First Camp in Buffalo [4:04 PM]
BuffaloBills.com reports: '"I was fortunate enough to win a championship in New England," he said. "I also know what it's like to lose one. I'm not into predicting records or anything like that. We just need to believe in ourselves and focus on the tasks at hand. The rest will fall into place."'
Tickets Limited for Browns Scrimmage [12:48 PM]
BuffaloBills.com reports: 'Tickets for the first of the team's two Wednesday evening practices during the Buffalo Bills Bausch & Lomb Training Camp are sold out and only a limited amount of tickets remain for the Bills scrimmage against the Cleveland Browns on August 7.'
Fisher Ready For Bills Camp [7:49 AM]
RNews.com reports: 'The school says its relationship with the Bills has been a good one. “We have a great relationship with them, we really do,” said Allison Bosworth, camp general manager for the school. “It's been a real benefit to us. People know who we are and where we are now, because this is where the Bills practice."'
New Confidence [5:30 AM]
RNews.com reports: '"This is good a team that I've been on, but that doesn't mean anything," Bledsoe explained. "Last year we started out strong then stumbled. At this point, looking at the guys around me, I feel really, really optimistic about our chances."'
Players Return in Top Shape [3:27 PM]
BuffaloBills.com reports: '"The players really responded to our program this off-season," said Rusty Jones, director of physical development with the Bills. "We did some new things. We added some Olympic-style lifting and a few other exercises. The players are in great shape."'
Donahoe says Dolphins won't get hooks in Henry [8:51 AM]
Buffalo News reports: 'Donahoe realizes there is no logic in trading Henry, at least not this year. Willis McGahee is coming back after nearly two years on the sideline because of a major knee injury. Even if McGahee looks great in training camp and the exhibition games, he still must prove he can stay healthy and effective over the entire season.'
Helping Miami? It'll be a cold day in Buffalo [5:27 AM]
Rochester D&C reports: 'Even if the Dolphins do phone to explore the possibility of trading for one of Buffalo's two ball carriers, Donahoe said, “It would be a short conversation.”'
Ogunleye for Henry wouldn't help Bills [5:26 AM]
Rochester D&C reports: 'If the Bills knew Willis McGahee's repaired knee was 100 percent and ready for full-time duty, Henry-for-Ogunleye would be an interesting proposition, but Buffalo has no such guarantee.'
Bledsoe is not today’s QB [5:25 AM]
Rochester City Newspaper reports: 'Good arm strength and throws with sufficient velocity, but he is slow in the pocket, slow in his set-up, and slow in his ball fakes to running backs, which makes for a largely ineffective play action pass and disadvantages the offense from surprising opponents. Watch Jets QB Chad Pennington to see how fakes should work. Bledsoe's judgment has declined. He is fearless, but his slow nature makes him an easy sack target.'
Defensive End Battle Should Be Intense [4:48 PM]
BuffaloBills.com reports: 'Denney may have been the starter in the past, but he is definitely hearing footsteps. Chris Kelsay is ready to be an everyday player and should provide strong competition to land the role. Kelsay was the Bills second round choice in the 2003 NFL Draft and is progressing nicely in his development. He said he's ready for the challenge of being an every down player.'
Contract Progress with Evans & Losman [4:48 PM]
BuffaloBills.com reports: '"We've made progress," Donahoe said updating negotiations with Evans and Losman on Wednesday. "We're talking each day, sometimes a couple of times each day. We have two players who want to be in camp on time. We are working toward that goal."'
