Marker Bills offer prolific pounding [5:03 AM]
Rochester D&C reports: '"You don't go into a game plan like that, it just happens," said defensive coordinator Jerry Gray. "You would never say you're going to stop an offense like that, it just happened today. We had a great effort from the guys on the field."'

Marker Bills display a mean streak in rout [5:02 AM]
Rochester D&C reports: 'For nine weeks now, a span in which they've compiled a 7-2 record to climb above .500 at 7-6, the Bills have been kicking a whole bunch of rented NFL mules.'

Marker McCown thrown to the wolves [5:01 AM]
Rochester D&C reports: 'It was a disaster. How about 17 net yards of offense, six first downs and a passer rating of 25.4 in Cleveland's laughable 37-7 loss to the Bills. When Robiskie was serving as Davis' offensive coordinator, Garcia had made some public statements about how he felt the offense was too predictable, and Robiskie didn't like it. It almost seems as if Robiskie was trying to make a statement by not starting Garcia. If he was, the only statement he made was that he's not cut out to be a head coach.'

Marker New position, but same big plays from Vincent [5:00 AM]
Rochester D&C reports: '"The guy's a very bright guy," said Bills strong safety Lawyer Milloy. "I knew he'd take to it like he had playing there all his life."'

Marker Two-minute read [4:59 AM]
Rochester D&C reports: 'Words cannot describe how pathetic that performance was by the Browns, all the way across the board.'

Marker Report card [4:58 AM]
Rochester D&C reports: 'Defensive line: This unit was possessed with Sam Adams, Pat Williams, Aaron Schobel and Chris Kelsay combining for 11 tackles, 4 sacks, 1 forced fumble and 1 fumble recovery. Adams, particularly, was nearly unstoppable against overmatched Browns' center Jeff Faine, recording two sacks. Schobel's sack/forced fumble against Jeff Garcia early in the fourth quarter knocked out the veteran QB. A+'

Marker D-day for Browns [4:57 AM]
Toronto Sun reports: 'Whether unwilling or incapable, the Browns were not up to the physical battle. At one point early in the fourth quarter, the Cleveland offence had produced a total of minus-two yards. With no line to protect him, no running game to move the ball and no receivers capable of getting open, McCown was sacked seven times for losses of 74 yards and picked off twice.'

Marker Buffalo may be playing for pride [4:56 AM]
Toronto Sun reports: 'With only two spots available, the task is tough considering as it stands now, the Ravens, Broncos and Jags would all beat the Bills in tiebreaking scenarios.'

Marker Vincent to the rescue for Buffalo Bills [4:55 AM]
Toronto Star reports: '"It was a long eight weeks," Vincent said. "I was the best cheerleader I could be, but I'm not a real vocal guy. I was standing on the sidelines holding five or six hats for guys. They kept saying I was good luck."'

Marker Can You Believe They're Over .500? [4:54 AM]
Erie Times News reports: 'Now, Baltimore and Denver must go 1-2 while the Bills win out, making things seem as difficult as ever. Which brings us back to that unfortunate Jacksonville loss in early September, Week 1 of the NFL season. Coulda, shoulda, woulda. If only the Bills had held on!'

Marker Bills Win Four Straight [4:53 AM]
RNews.com reports: 'After missing nine games with a right knee injury, Troy Vincent returned to the field and played a significant roll. Switched from Cornerback to Safety, Vincent recorded a sack, interception and fumble recovery.'

Marker Defense Delivers Big Win, Keeps Bills Alive [4:52 AM]
BuffaloBills.com reports: '"We did some good things, and I like the way we responded as a whole coming from last week," linebacker Takeo Spikes said. "We just took advantage of everything that was given to us out there today."'

Marker Bills Win Fourth Straight 37-7 [4:51 AM]
BillsDaily.com reports: The Bills offense continues to put up a huge number of points as they scored 37 or more for the fourth straight game, all Bills victories as was this 37-7 win over the Browns. The 37 points are impressive but this win was about a truly dominating defensive effort.

Marker Dominating Defense Leads To Win [4:50 AM]
BillsDaily.com reports: The defense dominated this game and because of that get straight A's. 17 total yards given up, eight sacks, and five takeaways. You can't do it much better than that. Here are our position by position grades:

Marker Buffalo's Fletcher plays bigger than his stature [5:29 AM]
Lorain Morning Journal reports: '''London goes about his business and rarely gets the credit he deserves,'' Bill head coach Mike Mularkey said by phone from Buffalo. ''He is having one of those years that most guys would consider to be Pro Bowl (caliber). He quietly goes about it, makes a lot of tackles, makes a lot of plays and leads the defense that has been ranked in the top five for most of the last couple years.'''

Marker Browns (3-9) at Bills (6-6) [5:08 AM]

Marker Bills giving battered Browns respect [5:07 AM]
Rochester D&C reports: '"It's a unique mentality because everyone realizes a new coach is coming in, so if anything, everybody picks up their play because they know these games are going to be evaluated by the new staff," Tucker said. "They have nothing to lose. I'm sure Robiskie is going to pull out all the stops. We expect nothing but their best, just like we got from Miami."'
