Marker Bills reward speed-readers [5:35 AM]
D and C reports: 'The No. 11 Drew Bledsoe jersey hung like a tent on her, but Marissa Bauer didn’t mind. As far as the spunky third-grader from School 52 was concerned, the jersey, like the day, was a perfect fit. It was just one of many perks Bauer and her classmates Brionna Goins and Brian Bennett received Wednesday as winners of the HealthNow Rush for Reading program, held in conjunction with the Buffalo Bills.'

Marker TNT Strung Out [8:49 PM]
Variety reports: 'Most notable, however, is the terrible editing, which butchers real footage of games and fans. When winning touchdowns are scored, people are sitting and quiet, and there's even one sequence that starts out on the 50-yard line but then shifted to the red zone after a quick cut.'

Marker Tulsa Hires Bills Assistant Steve Kragthorpe as Football Coach [8:42 PM]
Bloomberg reports: '``Steve brings a wealth of experience to our football program,'' Tulsa Athletic Director Judy MacLeod said in a press release. ``He has demonstrated his outstanding ability as an offensive coach on both the collegiate and professional levels.'''

Marker Bills place CB Bostic on injured reserve [2:48 PM]
AP reports: 'To replace Bostic, the Bills promoted cornerback Marcus Floyd off of their practice squad.'

Marker Kragthorpe may leave Bills for college job [1:45 PM]
WGRZ-TV reports: 'Ch2 Sports has learned Kragthorpe is a finalist for the head coaching job at Tulsa, but Kragthorpe's fate depends on another job interview at another school. Sources tell us South Carolina assisstant coach Charlie Strong is Tulsa's number one choice, but Strong will interview for the East Carolina job on Wednesday. If he takes that job, Kragthorpe, according to a source in Tulsa, would then be the choice.'

Marker TU Dips Into NFL [1:42 PM] reports: 'Kragthorpe is in his second year with the Bills and tutors starting quarterback Drew Bledsoe. Prior to his post in Buffalo, Kragthorpe coached fours seasons at Texas A&M, spending three of those seasons as the offensive coordinator. Marker Second to None - Oscar winner Voight leads Bills to title in TNT original [10:50 AM] reports: "I wanted to do this part," admits Voight, "because I wanted to see the Bills win the Super Bowl in my lifetime. Rookie Josh Reed has 33 catches. As well as the Packer receivers have played and stepped up this season, they're not an equal threat.'

Marker 'Second String' No Christmas Movie, But It's a Lot Better Than It Sounds [5:35 AM]
Salt Lake City Tribune reports: 'The pleasant surprise about "Second String" is how fast and energetic the movie can be and how the filmmakers don't turn the players into caricatures like in the Charlie Sheen movie, "Major League."'

Marker Love those'dogs [5:34 AM]
Newark Star Ledger reports: 'In the underdog football genre, it ranks slightly above "Necessary Roughness" (Scott Bakula as a 40-year-old college freshman, Kathy Ireland as a placekicker) and "The Replacements" (a movie that asks you to root for scab players), and is only a bit more plausible -- even ignoring the basic idea that the Buffalo Bills might finally win a championship.'
